ていないため毎秒80〜100回程度の給気、爆発燃
焼、膨脹、排気のサイクルをくり返し乍らの脈動
的な爆発燃焼にともなう騒音は給気側のマフラー
に至る前に外部へ漏出し給気マフラーによる消音
効果は半減し送気フアンの共鳴音と相まつて騒音
の効果的な消去は不可能であつた。なお、第2図
において第1図と同一部分には同一符号を付し
た。

するとともに、吸入口9には給気管10を介して
給気トツプ11を接続せしめ燃焼用空気の全量を
一次空気として燃焼ガスと混合する燃焼方式とし
ている。なお、12はガスチヤンバーで、該ガス
チヤンバー12からのガス噴出ノズル13を脈動
燃焼装置の混合室14に臨ませ混合室14内に設
けた空気弁(図示せず)の開閉動作による燃焼用
空気の給断とともに燃料ガスの給断をも行つて燃
料ガスと燃焼用空気を混合室14で混合しその混
合気を燃焼室2へ送給するようになしている。ま
た、15はガス供給管で、ノズル16を介してガ
スチヤンバー12に接続され、その途中には緩点
火用ガバナー17、メイン電磁弁18及び元電磁
弁19を備えている。20は貯湯槽1の外部に設
置した排気2次マフラーで、排気1次マフラー5
と排気トツプ21間に介設されている。22は貯
湯槽1への給水管で、途中に減圧逆止弁23及び
排水弁24を備えている。25は貯湯槽1からの
給湯管で、途中に安全弁26を備えている。27

脈動的に給気、爆発燃焼、排気をくり返し乍ら燃
焼が継続される。上記燃焼動作において運転当初
は点火プラグ29からのスパークを必要とする
が、暫時経過後は燃焼室2等の温度上昇等により
自己着火し連続燃焼するものである。上記連続的
な爆発燃焼による燃焼排気ガスは排気管3から排
気室4、排気1次マフラー5へと導かれその騒音
を消火しつつ熱交換されて貯湯槽1内の貯水を加
熱昇温し、その後、排気2次マフラー20を通つ
て減速、消音を行い排気トツプ21から器外へ放
出されるものである。一方、給気側の騒音はエア
ーチヤンバー6と送気フアンFとの間に設けた給
気マフラー7によりその音源に近い所ですみやか
に消去されるから送気フアンFが共鳴したり騒音
が送気フアンFから漏れることがない。
