Abstract

PURPOSE:To control an amt. of a rust preventive oil to be coated over a wide range with inexpensive equipment by supplying the rust preventive oil to a steel strip, then squeezing the rust preventive oil on the steel strip by oil suction rolls and adjusting oil film thicknesses. CONSTITUTION:The rust preventive oil supplied from a rust preventive oil tank 3 by a pump 4 is regulated in the flow rate by a flow rate control valve 5 and is coated by coaters 2, 2' on the steel strip 1 moving in an arrow direction. The oil suction rolls 7, 7' constituted by winding non-woven fabric sheets to, for example, hollow iron cores are further disposed on the down stream thereof to suck and squeeze the excess component of the rust preventive oil supplied on the steel strip 1.
