上に塗布して固化するのを待ち、固化したワックスと共
に毛を剥がし取る物理的作用を利用した脱毛料であるが
、その基剤としては、ロジン(松脂)が、用いられロジ
ンはアビエチン酸類が主成分であって、これに含士れる
不純物に起因すると思われる刺激があり、塗布した皮膚
が赤く腫れたり水泡ができたりすることがある。また脱
毛クリームや脱毛液は、毛のケラチン構造のS−8結合
切断剤をクリーム又は液状基剤中に配合したもので、通
常はチオグリコール酸塩が一般的である。しかしながら
S−8結合切断剤は、皮膚刺激性の高いものが多く皮膚
安全性の点から考えると問題のあるものが多い。また同
様に粘着テープやシートの場合、その粘着層の成分に起

ブレなどの皮膚刺激を著しく軽減できることを見出し本
