Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a depilatory agent, having remarkably reduced skin irritancy, e.g. vesicle, contact dermatitis, etc., by a depilatory agent as well as extremely high safety for human bodies, by blending a polyoxyalkylene-modified organopolysiloxane in a depilatory agent base. CONSTITUTION:A depilatory agent obtained by blending a polyoxyalkylene- modified organopolysiloxane selected from compounds expressed by formulas I-IV (R is 1-3C alkyl or phenyl; R' is H or 1-12C alkyl; p is an integer of 1-5; m is an integer of 5-100; n and x are integers of 1-50; t and y are integers of 0-50), having preferably >=2,000, particularly >=5,000 average molecular weight and containing preferably 2-80wt%, particularly 11-50wt% polyoxyalkylene groups in the molecule in a depilatory agent base, e.g. depilatory wax, depilatory cream, depilatory solution depilatory tape or sheet, etc., and having reduced skin irritancy. The amount of the polyoxyalkylene-modified organopolysiloxane is 0.1-50wt%, preferably 0.1-30wt% in the above-mentioned base.

ものが多い。例えば脱毛ワックスq場合、一般的にはワ
ックスを融点以上に加温し、液状とした後脱毛する皮膚
上に塗布して固化するのを待ち、固化したワックスと共
に毛を剥がし取る物理的作用を利用した脱毛料であるが
、その基剤としては、ロジン(松脂)が、用いられロジ
ンはアビエチン酸類が主成分であって、これに含士れる
不純物に起因すると思われる刺激があり、塗布した皮膚
が赤く腫れたり水泡ができたりすることがある。また脱
毛クリームや脱毛液は、毛のケラチン構造のS−8結合
切断剤をクリーム又は液状基剤中に配合したもので、通
常はチオグリコール酸塩が一般的である。しかしながら
S−8結合切断剤は、皮膚刺激性の高いものが多く皮膚
安全性の点から考えると問題のあるものが多い。また同
様に粘着テープやシートの場合、その粘着層の成分に起
因すると考えられるカブレを、起こすことが多い。

、脱毛液、脱毛用テープまたはシートなどの脱毛料に配
合すると、驚くべきことにこれら脱毛料による水泡、カ
ブレなどの皮膚刺激を著しく軽減できることを見出し本
発明を成すに至った。
