Electrodes are formed on each part of the inner and outer surfaces of a ceramic tube with the tip closed, and the phenomenon occurs between the inner electrode on the inner surface that is in contact with the atmosphere and the outer electrode on the outer surface that is in contact with the gas to be detected.
