Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a molded product with a uniform leatherlike surface, while mixing leather powder uniformly with a thermoplastic resin compound and injecting it smoothly by a method in which dry leather powder of a specific mesh is mixed with a thermoplastic resin compound within a specified weight ratio, and said mixture is molded by injecting into a mold. CONSTITUTION:Dry leather powder 2 of 50-250 mesh is mixed with a thermoplastic resin compound in a weight ratio of within 60%, and said mixture is injected into a mold to be molded into a leatherlike molded product 1. Since the leather powder 2 is fine powder and is composed of protein, oils and fats, it has a good lubricating property and a good mixing property with a thermoplastic resin compound. When the leather powder is mixed with a resin liquid which is prepared by dissolving a thermoplastic resin compound in a solvent, it becomes uniform material, because the leather powder 2 does not absorb the resin liquid. Since the contact resistance to the surface of a cavity, a mold etc., of the thermoplastic resin compound is almost same as that of the leather powder 2, the injection molding process is carried out smoothly at a time of molding the product, whereby breakage of the machine base or the mold due to change of injection pressure does not occur, and a uniform and superior leatherlike molded product can be obtained.

However, products with leather attached as described in 1-1 are expensive because the leather is expensive and it takes a long time to attach them, so the cost is high.
Furthermore, due to the difference in expansion and contraction rates between the leather and the underlying fabric due to temperature, there have been problems such as the edges of the fabric being exposed due to shrinkage, and the leather peeling off resulting in an unsightly appearance.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, the above-mentioned leather-like sheets are made of leather powder in the form of fibers or lumps with cilia, which are relatively coarse powders, and do not mix uniformly with the thermoplastic resin. It is difficult to mix, and even during molding, the thermoplastic resin and the leather powder have different contact resistances with the die liner, cavity, mold, etc. of the injection molding machine, so they cannot be extruded smoothly and the parts of the molding machine described above On the other hand, there were problems such as a wave peg phenomenon occurring on the surface of the product, and changes in the injection pressure causing the flesh structure of the product to become dense and dense, making it impossible to obtain a homogeneous product.

(Function) According to the present invention, the leather powder 2 is dried to form finer particles of 50 to 250 mesh than conventional ones, and since the leather powder 2 consists of proteins, fats and oils, it has good lubricity and is a thermoplastic resin compound. The thermoplastic resin compound is dissolved in a solvent and the resin liquid is mixed with leather powder 2.
Even when mixed with leather powder 2, the resin liquid is not absorbed by the leather powder 2, so it mixes well and becomes homogeneous. In addition, the contact resistance with the inner surface of the mold, the liner of the die of the molding machine, the cavity, the surface of the mold, etc. Since the plastic resin compound and leather powder 2 are similar, injection molding can be performed smoothly during molding, and a homogeneous and high-quality leather-like molded product can be obtained without damage to the machine base or mold due to changes in injection pressure. It is something.

Alternatively, a thermoplastic resin compound is prepared by mixing a dried leather powder 2 containing 50 to 250 mesh of leather vinegar and a thermoplastic resin 3 such as vinyl chloride with a plasticizer, a stabilizer, a filler, an additive, etc. are uniformly mixed and molded, such as in powder form or dissolved in a volatile solvent to form a resin liquid, and the surface 1a is formed by the heat formed during molding + the amount of plastic resin 3. This is a skin layer 3a. Incidentally, the grained surface of the surface 1a is formed by a leather grain pattern provided in a mold during molding, and a wood grain pattern may also be provided on the mold surface to form a single shape on the wood.

In addition, by making a large number of small holes 4 from the surface 1a with a needle or a heated needle, a leather-like appearance is obtained, and by impregnating moisture in the small holes 4, a moist and smooth texture similar to genuine leather is obtained. It is designed to give it a rough texture. FIG. 3 shows a cross-sectional structure of another example, in which the surface 1a is lightly sanded to make it fluffy.

Additionally, in addition to foaming thermoplastic resin 3 to give a particularly soft texture, leather powder 2 and thermoplastic resin compound, fibers obtained by crushing leather made of natural fibers such as cotton, linen, and wool. Or one in which fibers 5 such as synthetic fibers such as nylon and ester or mixtures thereof are mixed and entangled with leather powder 2 to increase strength against tearing, tension, etc.
The surface is cut other than sanding, the back is cloth,

In addition, since leather powder contains oil and fat as mentioned above, the thermoplastic resin compound does not enter into the particles, so there is less resistance, and the contact resistance against the inner wall surface of the die liner, cavity, mold, etc. of the injection molding machine. Since it is similar to a thermoplastic resin compound, it can be injected smoothly and a molded product with a homogeneous leather-like surface can be obtained without destroying the compound.
