DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Industrial field of application) This invention uses natural leather and its scraps to form a powdery leather powder, which is bound in a homogeneous state by a thermoplastic resin. The present invention relates to a method for producing a leather-like material having elasticity, moisture permeability, appearance, etc. close to those of natural leather.

(Prior Art) As a substitute for natural leather, artificial leather is provided with a knitted fabric as a support on which a synthetic resin layer such as vinyl chloride or polyamide or a foamed synthetic resin layer such as foamed polyurethane is provided, or various artificial leather layers are provided thereon. A so-called synthetic leather that is formed by applying a finishing layer, forming fine pores in it, and wrinkling it, or impregnating a layer of synthetic fiber with a binder such as polyurethane to form a substrate, and then There was a so-called artificial leather in which a surface layer was formed on the surface and processed to have a silver surface or suede.

(Problems to be solved by the invention) However, since the synthetic leather is a layer formed of a synthetic resin, it is inferior to natural leather in breathability and breathability, and causes stuffiness when used in footwear, clothes, and the like. There is also a problem that it is different from natural leather in terms of texture and feel, and also in artificial leather, synthetic fibers are prepared as short fibers and mixed with a solvent to impregnate a resin as a binder. Since it is necessary to sufficiently control the setting of the thickness, fiber length, etc., the cost becomes high, and the fibers and binder are mixed with a Banbury mixer etc. and extruded into pellets, which are then formed into a sheet by a calender roll. If sanding is performed and then subsequent processing is performed, the number of steps will increase and it will be difficult to mix and stir evenly. There was a problem that it was buried and solidified, and there was no room to generate elasticity.

Therefore, in order to solve this problem, we applied for a method for manufacturing a leather-like material, in which wastes of natural leather are crushed into powder granules and stirred and mixed with a thermoplastic resin so that each crushed leather is bound by the resin. However, if the particle size of the crushed leather is large, it is necessary to add talc or the like as a lubricant separately, and it is difficult to mix it evenly, and it is difficult to obtain a uniform leather-like material.

FIG. 1 shows a leather-like material manufactured according to the present invention,
Numeral 1 is a leather powder such as vinyl chloride that is crushed into granules by crushing the skins of cows, pigs, goats, etc., which are sanded or sliced, and crushed in an absolutely dry state. Each of the leather powders 1 is adhesively connected at its outer periphery by 2. This is a thermoplastic resin compound in which 70 to 30% of granular leather powder 1 and powdered thermoplastic resin 3 are mixed with various plasticizers, stabilizers, fillers, additives and the like in a weight ratio. It is a mixture of 30 to 70%, and the leather powder 1 is a fine particle and is mainly composed of protein and fat and kneaded by its lubricity, and the friction resistance at the time of molding is small and the thermoplastic resin compound is universal. Without mixing, the leather powder 1 is in a uniform mixed state without unevenness, so that the calender roll 3 forms a homogeneous sheet 4. Further, a kneader, Banbury, etc. may be used to improve the mixing state. Next, at least one surface of the sheet 4 thus formed is sanded, and c, c
The skin-like surface layer 4a is removed by sanding up to the line, and a sanding disk of No. 150 or less is used to create a fluffy suede surface. It is tonal artificial leather.

Further, as shown in FIG. 4, a tearing strength or the like is enhanced by pressure-bonding paper, cloth, or a reinforcing cloth 5 made of paper and cloth to the back surface of the sheet 4.

(Effect) As described above, the method for producing the leather-like material according to the present invention is such that the leather scraps and the like are made into fine particulate leather powder of 50 to 250 mesh, and the smoothness of the leather powder mainly composed of proteins and fats. Thus, a uniform leather-like material can be obtained because the mixing with the thermoplastic resin compound is easily performed uniformly.

Further, since the thermoplastic resin does not enter the particles of the leather powder and the peripheral portion is adhesively connected to other leather powder, the elasticity inherent to the leather powder is not lost, and the sheet-like leather-like material having a soft feel. Is obtained and also has air permeability.

Further, as described above, since the mixing property of the leather powder and the powder of the thermoplastic resin compound is good, the friction resistance at the time of molding into a sheet form is small, so that it is easy to obtain a uniform thick product without waviness.
