Because eaves gutters expand and contract in the longitudinal direction due to temperature differences between summer and winter or night and day, measures are often taken at the joints to absorb this. In the simplest example, as shown in Fig. 1, the ends A 1 and a 1 are sealed with water stoppers B and b, and the ends A 1 and a 1 are opposed to each other.
There is a method of connecting the book eaves gutters A, a to each other by straddling a saddle-shaped joint C from above at the mating portion of the eaves gutters A, a. In this method, rainwater from the eaves that falls onto the top surface of joint C is distributed to the left and right,
It can be effectively discharged from the eaves gutter A or a without overflowing to the outside of the eaves gutter, and the end portion A 1 of the eaves gutter A or a,
Since a 1 is installed with an expansion/contraction allowance L and is straddledly connected in a loose fit state by the joint C, the longitudinal expansion and contraction caused by heat is efficiently absorbed, and although it has a simple structure, it exhibits excellent functionality. It is something.

However, as mentioned above, eaves gutters A and a must be installed with expansion and contraction allowance L, so when looking up at the installed eaves gutters from below, the continuous eaves gutters appear as if they have been cut. It is also a cause of discomfort.

The present invention was developed in view of the above, and is designed to expand and contract the eaves gutter so as not to cause discomfort at the connection by completely covering the ends of the two eaves gutter sealed with a water stopper. Provides a universal joint.

To explain the embodiment of the present invention with reference to the drawings, Fig. 2 is a partially cutaway perspective view showing a connection state by the joint of the present invention, Fig. 3 is a vertical sectional view taken along the line shown in Fig. 2, and Fig. 4 is a longitudinal sectional view taken along the line taken in Fig. 2. FIG. That is, the present invention provides both ends 11, 1' of two eaves gutters 1, 1' whose ends 11, 11' are sealed with water stoppers 2, 2', and whose ends 11, 11' are opposed to each other. 11', the frame 31 has ear holding parts 32 and 33 on both sides, and one ear holding part 32 is connected to the other ear holding part 32. A retractable joint for an eaves gutter, characterized in that the descending tongue piece 34 facing the ear 33 is connected, and the tip part 341 of the tongue piece 34 is a free end near the lower part of the other ear holding part 33. be. In the illustrated example, downward-facing eaves gutter removal prevention plates 35 and 35' are formed in parallel on the lower surface near the widthwise end of the tongue piece 34, and an upward-facing scattering prevention plate 36 is formed at the end of the ear holding part 33. It is coupled. The joint 3
The connection method using the water stopper 2, 2' is sealed with the water stopper 2, 2' and the distance 1 (where 1 is the distance between the above-mentioned retaining plates 35, 3
Eaves gutters 1 facing each other with a distance shorter than 5′ distance),
1', the tip 341 of the tongue piece 34 and the tip of the ear holding part 33 are pushed apart using the elasticity peculiar to synthetic resin, and the ends 11, 11' are pushed apart from the lateral direction. The tongue piece 34 is arranged so that it spans over the
The connection is completed so that the tip 341 of the ear holding part 33 is located near the lower tip of the ear holding part 33. In this way, since the tip 341 of the tongue piece 34 is a free end, the eave gutter removal prevention plates 35, 3 are attached to the lower surface of the tongue piece 34.
5' is formed, it can be easily attached to the eave gutter 1, 1' in the lateral direction by pushing and expanding the tongue piece 34. In particular, such a function is extremely useful for constructing a gutter in a case where the eaves gutter and the associated water collector or vertical gutter have already been positioned and the eave gutter cannot be operated. At this time, the water stopper 2 fitted to both ends 11, 11',
It goes without saying that 2' must be located between the retaining plates 35 and 35' (see FIG. 3).
In such a connection state, rainwater falling from the eaves will not overflow to the outside because the tongue piece 34 is connected to the ear holding part 32 and is a descending piece with a step. 34, and are smoothly discharged through the eaves gutters 1, 1', and the elasticity of the eaves gutters 1, 1' in the longitudinal direction is effectively absorbed within the joint 3. In addition, the falling-off prevention plates 35 and 35' formed on the lower surface of the tongue piece 34 prevent the eaves gutter from coming off, and the scattering prevention plate 36 connected to the tip of the ear holding part 33 prevents the falling of the eave gutter from falling onto the tongue piece 34. It also prevents rainwater from splashing outside. What is also noteworthy is that when this connection state is viewed from below, the above-mentioned interval l is hidden by the frame 31, so it looks as if one continuous eave gutter is disposed, unlike the conventional eaves gutter. This means that it does not give a sense of discomfort, as if the body had been cut off.

In addition, when using the joint of the present invention, the water flow is stopped by the water stopper, so a vertical gutter is connected near the water stopper located on the downstream side so that water can be discharged as appropriate. Moreover, although the illustrated example shows an example of application to a square gutter, it goes without saying that this can also be adopted to a semicircular eaves gutter. Furthermore, joint 3
Although it is necessary to push and expand the joint 3 when it is installed, since the joint 3 is made of synthetic resin, it goes without saying that it maintains the shape shown in the figure even after installation due to its unique elastic restoring force.

As described above, the joint of the present invention has a simple structure but has excellent functions, is extremely easy to attach, and can be mass-produced at low cost, so its versatility is extremely large.
