Conventionally, to connect a pair of eaves gutters via a water collector, the ends of the eaves gutters were simply inserted into a perforation or notch provided in the peripheral wall of the water collector, as shown in an example in Figure 6. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. 7, a plurality of outwardly bent pieces 4, 4 are formed on the edge of the eaves gutter as a partially improved version of the one shown in Fig. 6 above. The bent piece prevents the eaves gutter from slipping out of the water collector, or the bent piece prevents rainwater, etc. from leaking from the water collector through the back side of the eaves gutter.

It is true that the installation of an eaves gutter with a bent piece on the edge shown in Figure 7 to a water collector can be improved in one respect compared to the installation of the eaves gutter shown in Figure 6 above. When forming this bent piece, especially in the case of eaves gutters made of synthetic resin, the work to form the bent piece is complicated, and scissor cracks occur at the cut part, and the bent piece The existence of this can be caused by a phenomenon in which the eaves gutter shrinks in the longitudinal direction more than expected, or when an unexpected external force is applied, the water collector is locally deformed due to the engagement of the bent piece and the water collector. There were concerns that the deformation of the bent piece would return and the eaves gutter would come out of the water collector, or that the eaves gutter would become meandering or bent and cracked.

One of the reasons why eaves gutters escape from water collectors is the expansion and contraction phenomenon of eaves gutters due to changes in temperature, but this expansion and contraction phenomenon of eaves gutters is particularly important in the case of synthetic resin eaves gutters, whose usage has been increasing rapidly in recent years. This is particularly noticeable.

This idea aims to improve the various drawbacks caused by the above-mentioned conventional installation of eaves gutters in water collectors, and aims to lower the ends of a pair of eaves gutters inserted into the water collector. A drain opening is opened in the center by being held in from the sides, and each is slidably inserted into a gutter-shaped joint with gutter receiving parts on both sides, and the gutter receiving parts on both sides of the joint are inserted into the water collector. It is supported by a pair of notches provided in the peripheral wall, and is structured so that changes in expansion and contraction that occur on the eaves gutter are absorbed by changes in the amount of sliding contact between the end of the eaves gutter and the gutter receiving part of the joint. Next, a concrete example of this invention will be explained using the drawings.

The inner ends of the pair of eaves gutters 5, 5, which are fitted through the notches 3 formed in the peripheral wall of the water collector 1 with the locking claws 2, 2 remaining, are disposed inside the water collector 1. , is inserted and connected to a tub-shaped joint 7 whose both ends are supported by a pair of notches 3 provided in the peripheral wall of the water collector.

This joint 7 has a drain port 8 opened in the center, and gutter receiving parts 9, 9 are formed at both ends of the joint, and each of the gutter receiving parts 9, 9 has a curved groove recessed over the entire width thereof. An elastic band-shaped sealing material 11 is buried in the groove 10 with a part thereof protruding from the inner surface of the gutter receiving part, and a pair of eaves gutters 5, 5 are inserted from both sides of the joint 7, respectively. Both ears 6,
6, and the gutter receiving part 9 of the eaves gutter 5 and the joint 7.
An elastic band-shaped sealing material 11 extending in the entire width direction is interposed on the sliding surface to ensure watertightness in the iron part.

Note that the drain port 8 of the joint 7 can be a collection of slits as shown in FIG. 2, a collection of round holes, or a mesh-like drop port 8a such as a base lattice. Collected dead leaves and other relatively large-sized dust can be caught in this mesh drainage port, thereby simplifying subsequent maintenance of the water collector.

To assemble the rain gutter water collection device of this invention, considering its workability, first a pair of eaves gutters are slidably connected with a joint, and then a base type assembly with a notch in the peripheral wall is assembled. Place the fitting on the water bowl.

Next, attach the clasp on one side of the joint. It is desirable to adopt a method in which the fasteners on the other side are respectively engaged with locking claws provided on the peripheral wall of the water collector.

For convenience, the explanation mainly focused on connecting a pair of eaves gutters arranged in a straight line through a water collector, but this idea can of course also be applied to the connection of eaves gutters that are connected at a crossing angle formed by a water collector. is possible.

By implementing this idea, even when the eaves gutter expands and contracts as typified by temperature changes that occur after the eaves gutter is installed, or when the gutter is displaced due to unexpected external forces, the amount of sliding contact at the connection part of the eaves gutter end of the joint increases or decreases. The eaves gutter absorbs these changes very easily, especially when the eaves gutter pulls out of the water collector, such as when there is a significant contraction or when the end of the eaves gutter pulls out of the water collector. Since it is still supported on the joint, it is possible to greatly increase the connection width between the water collector and the eaves gutter, and even when cracking occurs due to meandering or bending of the eaves gutter, the water collector can be easily removed. It is possible to easily prevent the eaves gutter from falling off, and by firmly connecting both eaves gutter ends with a joint,
It is possible to strengthen the assembly of the three types of components of the pair of eaves gutters and water collectors, effectively preventing the tilting phenomenon that tends to occur in water collectors, and also to prevent the sliding surface between the joint and the end of the eaves gutter. By interposing an elastic sealant for watertightness in the steel part, it is possible to prevent rainwater from leaking from the water collector along the underside of the eaves gutter. By forming this, many effects can be expected, such as being able to easily trap fallen leaves and the like collected in the water collector and making long-term maintenance of the water collector easier.
