製造方法は、鋼材または焼結材によりカムピースを形成
し、このカムピースのカム面に焼入れおよび研磨等の表
面処理を施したのちパイプ材に外嵌し、このパイプ材を
その内面からのかしめによりカムピースをパイプ材の所
定位置に固着してカムシャフトを形成し、カムピースの

嵌合孔3Aの内周面の四部3Bに圧接することにより一
体化される。この場合、第2図に示した従来の固定手段
によるほか、カムピース3のバイブ嵌合孔3Aの内周面
に、O−レット状、螺旋状、軸方向凹凸条等の凹凸加工
を施しておくことによりパイプ材2とのかしめつけの強
度を高めることができる。また、かしめ手段については
、パイプ材2の内部への芯金の圧入、バルジ等、適宜な
