Prior Art In order to ventilate the inside of a car even when the window glass is closed, it has been common practice to provide an outside air intake hole for introducing air and a ventilation hole for discharging this air in the car body. ing. The location of the outside air intake holes and ventilation holes is determined by taking into account the wind pressure distribution during driving, the structure of the vehicle body, the design, etc., but generally outside air is introduced at both ends of the cowl top and radiator grille, where positive pressure is applied during driving. A hole is provided to introduce outside air into the room, and a ventilation hole is provided in a back window or the like where negative pressure is generated due to the relative velocity with the outside air to increase exhaust efficiency.

By the way, in terms of increasing exhaust efficiency,
It is most advantageous to provide ventilation holes in the roof panel of the vehicle body. This is because the negative pressure generated on the outer surface of the roof panel of the vehicle body is usually the largest. However, it is difficult to provide a ventilation hole with the effective area necessary for ventilation in the roof panel without damaging the design, and if the ventilation hole is provided directly upward in the roof panel, it will prevent water from flowing in the rain or when washing the car. This causes problems such as dust and dust intrusion. For this reason, it has conventionally been common to provide ventilation holes in back windows and the like.

Configuration: In order to achieve the above object, the present invention makes the interior of an attached member fixed to the roof panel of a vehicle hollow, and communicates the hollow portion with the vehicle cabin through a hole drilled in the roof panel. The present invention proposes a configuration in which a ventilation hole is provided on the lower surface of the attached member that is in contact with the outside air, and the ventilation hole is provided to communicate the hollow portion with the outside air, and the vehicle interior is communicated with the outside air through the ventilation hole and the internal hollow portion of the attached member.

Generally, in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, etc., long items such as skis that cannot be stored in the trunk or inside the vehicle are loaded and transported, as shown in Figure 1.
It is common practice to provide an attachment consisting of a roof rack 3 on a roof panel 2 of a vehicle body 1.
FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the present invention in which the roof rack 3 is used as an exhaust system.

In the figure, above the roof panel 2 of the automobile, there is a roof rack extending in the front-rear direction parallel to the upper surface of the roof panel at a constant distance, and the lower end surfaces of the lower front and rear ends 3a and 3b of the roof panel curve downward. 2
is fixed. The inside of the roof rack 3 is formed into a hollow tube shape, and the hollow portion communicates with the vehicle interior 4 through holes 2a and 2b formed in the roof panel 2 at the mounting portion. On the other hand, on the lower surface of the roof rack located between both attachment parts of the roof rack 3 and spaced apart from the upper surface of the roof panel 2,
A suitable number of ventilation holes 5 are provided to allow communication between the hollow part of the rack and the outside air. In this way, the passenger compartment 4 is communicated with the outside air through the ventilation hole 5 formed in the lower surface of the roof rack 3 that is in contact with the outside air and the interior hollow part of the roof rack 3.

The illustrated exhaust system is constructed as described above. According to this system, negative pressure is generated on the circumferential surface of the roof rack 3 due to the relative speed with the outside air when the vehicle is running, and the air in the hollow part of the roof rack 3 is under pressure. Due to the difference, it is sucked out into the outside atmosphere through the ventilation hole 5.
Accordingly, the air in the vehicle interior 4 is continuously discharged from the ventilation holes 5 through the holes 2a and 2b of the roof panel 2, through the space inside the roof rack 3. On the other hand, car body 1
Fresh air is introduced into the vehicle compartment 4 through an air introduction hole provided in the positive pressure section in front of the vehicle, thereby providing natural ventilation.
Of course, the ventilation hole 5 can also function as an air exhaust hole when forced ventilation is performed.

A large negative pressure is likely to be generated on the circumferential surface of the roof rack 3, so the exhaust efficiency is high, and since the ventilation holes 4 are provided on the bottom surface of the roof rack 3 facing the top surface of the roof panel 2, rainwater etc. There is little intrusion, and there is no possibility of hole clogging due to accumulation of dust, etc. In addition, a large effective ventilation area can be secured, and the ventilation holes 5 are located in areas that are difficult to see from the outside, so the design will not be spoiled. Alternatively, it is also possible to make the ventilation holes contribute to improving aesthetics and to use them for design purposes.

FIG. 3 shows another embodiment of the exhaust system according to the present invention, in which ventilation holes are provided on the lower surface of the attached member made of roof molding. The roof molding 7 is fixed to the roof panel 8, and a hollow part 9 inside the roof molding is defined by the molding 7 and the outer surface of the roof panel 8, and a hole 8a communicating between the hollow part 9 and the vehicle interior 4 is formed. An appropriate number of holes are provided in the roof panel 8. A suitable number of ventilation holes 6 are provided on the lower surface of the roof molding 7 that is in contact with the outside air, and the vehicle interior 4 communicates with the outside via the ventilation holes 6 and a hollow part 9 in the roof molding 7. Therefore, due to the high negative pressure generated on the outer surface of the roof molding 7 when the car is running, the air inside the passenger compartment 4 passes through the hole 8a and the molding hollow part 9, and is discharged to the outside of the vehicle from the ventilation hole 6, thereby creating natural ventilation. will be held. Also in this case, it goes without saying that the ventilation hole 6 can be used as an exhaust hole for forced ventilation. This embodiment also has the effect of preventing the intrusion of rainwater and the like without damaging the design.
