[Detailed description of the invention] (a) Industrial application field This invention relates to a dryer canvas used in the drying section of a paper machine. Dryer canvases are generally produced with ends, and are made into endless shapes using various types of joints provided at both ends of the canvas on the paper machine, and the present invention relates to improvements to these joints. be.

(b) Prior art There are various types of joints for dryer canvases, but one method is to extend the warp threads of the canvas body, fold them back to create a loop, and insert the core wire into a common hole created by interlocking the loops. Therefore, the method of joining both ends of the canvas is often used for synthetic fiber monofilament canvases because of its compact structure. An example of this detailed manufacturing method is disclosed in Utility Model Publication No. 51-46483.

(c) Problems to be solved by the invention The above-mentioned joint for making a canvas into an endless shape by creating a joining loop with the warp threads of the canvas body is used for high-quality paper, etc. as a good joint that has little effect on the quality of the paper. However, in order to meet the strict requirements, the warp of the main body is thin and the weave density is high.
Naturally, the joining loop is small and the core wire is thin, making joining the joint a difficult task. Furthermore, the lighting at paper making sites is dim and the footing is poor, making it difficult for unskilled workers to join together wide canvases. Sometimes, a part of the joining loop was cut with scissors and the core wire was pulled out and inserted in the middle. However, this post-finishing was not done properly, and the cut ends sometimes stuck out or stood out on the surface of the paper, making marks on the paper.

(d) Means for solving the problem The present invention provides a joint that is provided with a means for making it easier to pass the joining core wire through the joint made of warp loops. In other words, when creating a canvas joint, the extended warp yarns that were originally intended to create a loop at the same predetermined location in the width direction at each joint are inserted into the main body without forming a loop, and when the joints at both ends are joined, a loop is created. The insertion of the core wire is facilitated by providing the missing portion. The configuration will be explained with reference to the drawings. FIG. 1 is an explanatory view of joining both ends of a canvas using the joint of the present invention. The canvas ends 1, 1 engage a loop 2 provided at the end, and a core wire 3 is inserted into the common hole of the loop. The core wire begins to be pulled out and inserted to the required length at a location where there is no loop (hereinafter referred to as a window). Windows are usually spaced 0.8 to 1.2 m apart in the width direction, depending on the canvas width.
Install one or several locations. Figure 2 shows how the window is created. Figure 3 shows when loop 2 is made, using the conventional method to form a loop with the extended warp, fold it back, thread it into the main body with the same structure, and overlap and butt it with the short warp. In Fig. 2, the extended warp that is intended to create this loop is entwined with the second weft thread 6 from the tip, then turned back and threaded into the main body without creating a loop. The number of threads is preferably 3 loops at one joint and 2 loops at the other joint (the reverse is also possible). It is important to create this loop deletion at an equal distance from the side edge of the canvas, that is, at a symmetrical position between both joints. Therefore, when the joint parts are butted together, a total of five loops are removed to create one window. Creating a loop other than the window part,
Selection of the pressing thread for the tip weft, stitching procedure, etc. are performed using conventionally known methods. Although the method of forming the loop in FIG. 4 is slightly different from that in FIG. 3 because the structure of the main body is different, the window can be made in the same manner. Also, for joints with other textures in which the warp threads are extended to create folded joining loops, joints with windows can be made in the same manner.

The missing parts are two loops worth of yarn at one joint and three loops at the other joint, which are tied into the main body without forming any loops to create a blank space.

(e) Effects of the invention Conventionally, it took a very long time and trouble to connect a wide canvas to a paper machine and connect both ends, or to replace only the joining core wire during use. This invention has made it possible for even non-experts to insert the core wire in a relatively short time.
Therefore, the paper stoppage time was shortened and operational efficiency was improved. Also, since the warp ends that form the windows are tied into the main body using the same structure, there is no possibility of damaging the paper surface during use. When replacing the core wire, the core wire is cut at the window, so even canvases with arcuate shapes can be easily replaced. As described above, the joint of the present invention is a significant joint.
