Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔概　要〕 雌雄関係にある光コネクタ本体同士の一重精密嵌合によ
り、光結合が可能で、且つ光コネクタ装着用のハウジン
グに対して光コネクタの回転防止を可能にした光コネク
タを提供する。
〔産業上の利用分野〕
本発明はプラグイン形コネクタに係り、特に単芯又は複
数芯の光コネクタをハウジングに装着しプラグインする
光コ・ネクタに関する。
〔従来の技術と問題点〕
従来、この種のプラグイン形光コネクタは精密嵌合する
コネクタ本体とは別に更に外筒を設ける構造を採ってお
り、且つハウジングに対する回転止構造をもたないもの
が多い。又、回転止機能を付加しようとすると、二重、
三重の回転防止機構を必要とし構造が複雑になると共に
精度が甘くなる欠点がある。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
上記問題点は本発明によれば、各々フェルールに内蔵さ
れた光ファイバを接続する各々のコネクタがハウジング
に係止してなるプラグイン形光コネクタにおいて一重精
密嵌合により光結合する雄側光コネクタ本体と、雌側光
コネクタ本体とを具備し、該雄側光コネクタ本体及び雌
側光コネクタ本体に共に該フェルールに対する位置決め
と回転防止用機構、及び該ハウジングに対する回転防止
用機構を配設したことを特徴とする光コネクタによって
解決される。
〔実施例〕
以下本発明の実施例を図面に基づいて説明する。
第１図（ａ）　、　（ｂ）及び（Ｃ）はそれぞれ本発明
に係る雄側光コネクタの一実施例の断面図、第１図（ａ
）のＡＡ断面図、及び第１図（ａ）のＢＢ断面図を示し
、第２図（ａｌ及び（ｂ）はそれぞれ本発明に係る雌側
光コネクタの一実施例の断面図、及び第２図（ａ）のＣ
Ｃ断面図を示す。
第１図に示すように雄側光コネクタ本体１がその外部で
ハウジング２に係合しており、更に該雄側光コネクタ本
体１の内部でフェルール３が係合している。雄側光コネ
クタ本体１には舌片状バネ４が装着がされ、凹部５ａが
設けられており、それぞれハウジング１に対する係止、
回転防止がなされる。
以下、その動作構造を詳細に説明する。
整列用スリーブ６と回転防止用溝７を有したブツシュ９
を光コネクタ本体１に挿入した後、回転防止用打込みピ
ン１０で光コネクタ本体１と位置決めしたものに光ファ
イバ１２を接続固着したフェルール３を挿入し、ブツシ
ュ１３の回転防止用爪１４をフェルール３及びブツシュ
９の溝に係合させ、クランプ１５で光コネクタ本体１と
螺着されることにより、光コネクタ本体とフェルールの
位置決め回転止めをなす。光コネクタ本体１の後端部の
フランジ部の凹部５ａと、ハウジング１端部の凸部５ｂ
の係合によりハウジングと光コネクタの回転を防止した
ものである。尚、光コネクタのハウジングへの係止は舌
片状バネ４とハウジング段部及び光コネクタ本体フラン
ジ部とハウジング段部によって成る。
次に第２図に示すように雌側光コネクタ本体２１がその
外側でハウジング２に係合しており、更に雌側光コネク
タ本体２１の内部でフェルール３が係合している。
以下その動作、構造を詳細に説明する。
雄側光コネクタと同様に光ファイバ１２を接続固着した
フェルール３を光コネクタ本体管２１ａに挿入する。こ
の際ブツシュ２２の爪２３をフェルール溝及びホンタイ
溝に係合し、位置決め回転防止とする。又ハウジングと
の回転止めも光コネクタ本体先端部のフランジ部の凹部
２４ａとハウジング２の内部凸部２４ｂとの保合により
成る。尚、フェルール３はブツシュ２２の内側に設置し
たスプリング２５でフロートし、且つコネクタ本体全体
はスプリング２６でフロートし、精密嵌合を容易にして
いる。尚、光コネクタのハウジング２への係止はハウジ
ング段部への突当と、留め板２７により係止して成る。
雌雄コネクタの一重嵌合は雄側光コネクタ本体１の外側
と、雌側光コネクタ本体２１の内側のスライドによって
行い、光結合は整列スリーブ６によってフェルール同士
が整列し突合せることにより行われる。

〔発明の効果〕
本発明によれば、光コネクタ本体を直接証とした位置決
め、回転止め構造とすることができ、且つ雌雄関係にあ
るコネクタ本体同士のみの精密嵌合により構成できるた
め、・安価で高精度の光結合及び回転止機能を有した光
コネクタが実現、できる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １、各々のフェルールに内蔵された光ファイバを接続す
    る各々のコネクタがハウジングに係止してなるプラグイ
    ン形光コネクタにおいて一重精密嵌合により光結合する
    雄側光コネクタ本体と、雌側光コネクタ本体とを具備し
    、該雄側光コネクタ本体及び雌側光コネクタ本体に共に
    該フェルールに対する位置決めと回転防止用機構、及び
    該ハウジングに対する回転防止用機構を配設したことを
    特徴とする光コネクタ。
