Abstract

PURPOSE:To shut off a gas passage even when a battery voltage is decreased, by a method wherein, by means of a shut off signal provided when the voltage of the battery is decreased to below a given valve and a shut off signal from a shut off deciding part, a shut off part is actuated. CONSTITUTION:The voltage of a battery 6 is inputted to a low voltage detecting part 12, and when the voltage of the battery is decreased to below a given value, the low voltage detecting part 12 outputs a shut off signal to a shut off part 10. By means of the shut off signal, the shut off part 10 shuts off a gas passage 1. In this case, since a shut off display part 9 is not actuated, no shut off display is effected to the outside. Thus, an instable side state is prevented from occurring resulting from continuance of a drop in the voltage of the battery, shut off without display takes place, and a user enables easy recognition of a fact that shut off is effected due to a drop in the voltage of the battery.

A gas passage 1 is provided with a flow sensor 2 that outputs an electrical signal corresponding to the gas flow rate as a flow signal. A typical embodiment of the flow rate sensor 2 includes a magnet provided in the flow rate responsive section of a gas meter and a reed switch that detects the magnetic field, and the flow rate signal in this case is the on/off state of the reed switch. Furthermore, an abnormality sensor 3 that detects abnormalities such as earthquakes and gas leaks and outputs abnormality signals is installed at an appropriate location.

A typical example of the abnormality sensor 3 is a seismic sensor or a gas leak alarm. The flow rate signal from the flow rate sensor 2 and the abnormality signal from the abnormality sensor a are input to the control section 4. Control unit 4
The system includes a shutoff determining section 5 that determines whether or not shutoff is possible based on the input flow rate signal and abnormality signal, and outputs a shutoff signal when determining shutoff, a battery 6 as a device power source, and a battery voltage input. a low voltage detection section 7 that outputs a display signal when the voltage is below a predetermined value; a display section 8 that is driven by the display signal and displays a battery voltage drop to the outside; and a display section 8 that is driven by the cutoff signal and is cut off. It consists of a cut-off display section 9 that displays this information to the outside. The cutoff signal output from the cutoff determination section 5 is input to the cutoff section 10 provided in the gas passage, and the cutoff section 11 responds to the cutoff signal to cut off the gas passage 1.

Problems to be Solved by the Invention However, in a gas accident prevention device having such a configuration, is it possible to detect a drop in battery voltage at the end of discharge of the battery 6 and display this externally? It is necessary for a person to recognize this and take measures such as replacing the battery. Therefore, if this display is overlooked, the voltage of the battery 6 may eventually become unable to maintain a voltage that allows the device fMf to operate normally. In particular, when a light emitting diode is used for the display section 8, the electrohydraulic voltage gradually drops, so the display is displayed only from the predetermined voltage that outputs the display signal to the voltage that can maintain the display of the light emitting diode. If the voltage is lower than that, the display will disappear.

Therefore, in this case, a person should be able to recognize this while the light emitting diode display is present and take some action, but if this is overlooked, the battery voltage will continue to drop and the device will be damaged. It is unsafe to leave the equipment in a condition that is not suitable for normal operation.

According to the above-described configuration, the present invention outputs a cutoff signal when the low voltage detection section detects a drop in battery voltage, and the cutoff signal causes the cutoff section to cut off the gas passage and prevent the progress of the battery voltage drop. This prevents the situation from becoming unsafe.

Next, the operation of this embodiment will be explained. The voltage of the battery 6 is input to the low voltage detection section 13, and when the battery voltage falls below a predetermined value, the low voltage detection section 12 transmits a cutoff signal to the cutoff section 10.
Output to. The cutoff signal causes the cutoff section 10 to cut off the gas passage 1. At this time, since the cut-off display section 9 is not driven, no cut-off display is displayed externally. Therefore, there is no possibility that the battery voltage will continue to drop, resulting in an unsafe situation, and the shut-off will occur without any display, allowing the user to easily and reliably recognize that the shut-off is due to a drop in battery voltage.

6. Effects of the Invention As described above, according to the present invention, when the battery voltage drops, the gas passage is cut off, which creates an unsafe situation compared to the conventional method of simply displaying an external display. It is possible to eliminate cases where the battery is left unattended, and it is possible to operate on the safe side against a drop in battery voltage.
