接機において一方の棒状ワークを着脱可能にして
固定的に把持するためのワーク把持機構であつて
、先端側に向けて拡径したテーパ状押圧面が先端
に設けられた取付孔を有するホルダと、前記押圧
面に対応したテーパ状受圧面を外周に有するとと
もに取付孔と同心であつてワークを挿入すべく先
端側に開放した挿入穴を有して軸方向移動可能に
取付孔に嵌入されるとともに受圧面への押圧に応
じて縮径可能なコレツトと、該コレツトを軸方向
に駆動すべくコレツトに連結される駆動手段とを
備え、コレツトおよび駆動手段は、コレツトへの
軸方向外方からの押圧力に応じて挿入穴内面にワ
ークが圧接するまでの軸方向内方への移動を許容
すべく連結されることを特徴とする摩擦溶接機に
