Conventionally, in the painting process of an automobile body, for example, as shown in the second figure, a floor a and a reinforcing material b on its lower surface are used.
In order to prevent rust on the inner surface of the bag-shaped part formed by this process, wax is applied to this part using a spray gun attached to a robot. In this case, reinforcement b
In order to insert the application nozzle at the tip of the gun body through the drainage hole c at the end of the gun body and apply wax to part A at the front of the bag-shaped part, use a discharge hole with a coating pattern suitable for application to the front part. It is necessary to use a coating nozzle that has a coating nozzle, and since wax cannot be applied to part B near the drainage hole c by itself, a separate spray gun equipped with a coating nozzle that has a discharge hole with an appropriate coating pattern is used to separately coat the wax in part B. Generally, wax is applied to parts A and B, but in order to improve work efficiency, it is desirable to be able to apply wax to parts A and B using a common application nozzle.The present invention satisfies this demand. The purpose is to provide a compatible spray gun, which is equipped with a coating nozzle connected to a coating agent supply path at the tip of the gun body, in which at least two types of discharge with different coating patterns are provided to the nozzle. The present invention is characterized in that a hole is formed and a switching valve is inserted into the nozzle to selectively communicate the supply path with each discharge hole. Next, the present invention will be explained with reference to the illustrated embodiments.

FIG. 1 shows one example. In the figure, 1 is a gun body, 2 is a cylindrical application nozzle attached to the tip of the gun body 1, and the gun body 1 is attached to a robot arm 3. a mounting base 4 at the tail end; a rotating block 5 rotatably supported by the base 4;
The nozzle 2 is attached to the holder 6, and the block 5 is rotated via a belt 8 by a motor 7 on the robot arm 3 side. to control the attitude of the nozzle 2, and furthermore, the wax serving as a coating agent is supplied into the block 5 from the inlet 9 on the outer surface of the block 5 through the air inlet 10 on the outer surface of the base 4.
A mixer 11 is provided to atomize and mix the pressurized air supplied from the mixer 11, and the atomized wax is forced to be fed to the nozzle 2 through a supply path 12 connected to the mixer 11.

In the drawings, reference numeral 13 indicates an on-off valve including a valve part 13a for controlling the supply of wax to the mixer 11 and a valve part 13b for controlling the supply of air.
is opened and closed by a cylinder 14 provided at the tail end of the base 4, and can be switched between an operating state in which wax is applied and a non-operating state.

According to the present invention, the nozzle 2 is provided with at least two types of discharge holes having different application patterns, for example, a first discharge hole 2a that opens diagonally forward and a second discharge hole 2b that opens laterally. A switching valve 15 is inserted into the nozzle 2 to selectively communicate the supply passage 12 with each of the discharge holes 2a and 2b. A cylinder 16 is attached to the tip of the holder 6, and the piston rod of the cylinder 16 integrally constitutes the switching valve 15. That is, the rod has a central shaft hole constituting the supply passage 12, and a piston rod of the cylinder 16. A ring-shaped communication groove 15a is formed on the outer periphery of the tip end, and when the rod is advanced by the cylinder 16, the communication groove 15a connects to the first discharge hole 2a, and the rod is moved backward as shown in the figure. When the valve is opened, the communication groove 15a is selectively connected to the second discharge hole 2b, and the switching valve 1
5, switching between the first discharge hole 2a side and the second discharge hole 2b side is provided.

Next, to explain its operation, when applying wax to parts A and B of the bag-shaped part formed by the floor a and the reinforcing material b shown in FIG. Insert the coating nozzle 2 from c, first switch the switching valve 15 to the first discharge hole 2a side, open the on-off valve 13, and perform the coating operation. According to this, the wax is applied to the first discharge hole 2a. The wax is vigorously discharged to the front and the wax is applied to the A section at the front. In this case, there will be some unpainted parts in the area B near the drain hole c, but this area can be cleaned well by switching the switching valve 15 to the side of the second discharge hole 2b that opens laterally and performing the coating operation. A, B are applied without using application nozzles in separate application patterns.
It is possible to perform good wax application over both parts.
