の取付用円筒部に嵌装取付ける方法に関するもの
である。

ーム等の支持部材に形成した円筒部内にボールジ
ヨイントのソケツトを圧入した後、該円筒部の先
端をソケツト外周面に形成した溝内にカシメ込ん
で固定する方策が採られているのが普通である。

ので、該円筒部の軸方向長さは加工上限界があ
り、従つて該円筒部とソケツトとの嵌合長を充分
長くすることは困難であり、このように円筒部の
嵌合長を充分にとることができないのに上記従来
方法のように円筒部の先端をカシメ込むと該カシ
メにより該円筒部の実質嵌合長は更に短くなり、
ボールジヨイントに外力が作用した場合の支持強
度が低くなつてしまうという問題を有している。

係であることに着目し、ボールジヨイントソケツ
ト外周面に該円筒部を圧嵌入させた後、上記円筒
部の角アール部の外面部を押圧し内方に押出変形
カシメして固定する方法を採ることにより、円筒
部のソケツトへの有効嵌合長を減少させることな
く強個に固定することができ、取付強度の大幅向
上をはかつたものである。

度の大幅な向上をはかることができるもので、カ
シメ作業が簡単なることと相俟つて工業的価値極
めて大なるものである。

受凹部を設け、支持部材に該ソケツトを圧嵌入す
る円筒部を形成し、上記ボールジヨイントのソケ
ツトを該支持部材の円筒部に圧入嵌合させて円筒
部の付け根の肩部に形成されている角アール部が
上記ソケツトのカシメ受凹部にほぼ対向する位置
とし、該円筒部の肩部の角アール部の外面部を押
つぶして該角アール部の円筒部側の端部付近を上
記カシメ受凹部内に押出変形カシメさせて固定す
ることを特徴とするボールジヨイントのソケツト
