本考案は、自動車の操舵装置その他のリンク機

ス加工等によつて別個に製作した後に両部材を固
着する形式のものは従来周知であり、固着手段と
しては、溶接によるもの、実公昭35−39139号公
報に記載されているようにクリツプを用いるも
の、特開昭56−10816号公報、特開昭59−126112
号公報に記載されているようにかしめによるもの

(考案が解決しようとする問題点)
従来技術において、固着手段として溶接を用い
たものは溶接部分が錆び易く、クリツプで固着し
たものは使用中に遊〓が生じ易く、かしめによる
ものも加工が容易ではないという問題があつた。
例えば前記特開昭56−10816号、同59−126112号
の技術は、第5図a,bに示すように、アームa
の円筒部bをハウジングcの溝dにかしめること
によつて固着しているが、aでは、円筒部bと溝
cの高さを正確に作らなければ緊密な結合が得ら
れず、同図bでは、円筒部bの先端に外方拡開部
eを設ける工具と、この外方拡開部eを溝c内に
嵌入させる工具と、外方拡開部eの頂点を押圧す
る工具とを必要として、装置及び工程が複雑にな

本考案は、アームとハウジングの固着手段とし
て、錆び易い溶接や遊〓の生じ易いクリツプを用
いず、かしめを採用したものであるが、かしめ手
段を改良して極めて簡単な手段によつてアームと
ハウジングを確実に固着するものであり、その構
成は、アーム端部の円筒部にかしめ止めしたボー
ルジヨイントにおいて、ハウジング6の外面に、
アーム7に形成した円筒部15に圧入した円筒面
11と、該円筒部15の一端を支持するフランジ
10と、円筒面11の肩12,19を内周側が深
い環状溝形に円筒部15の他端にかしめたかしめ
部12a,19aと、を備えることを特徴とす

8の先端も該斜面より傾斜角は小さいが同方向に
傾斜する打出し角度をもつ。このため角部12の
変形量が大きく、充分な塑性変形が行なわれて、
緩みの生じない強固なかしめ部12aが得られ
る。このとき、円筒面11は、軸方向の加圧に伴
つて若干拡径し、円筒部15との圧着力を更に強

(考案の効果)
本考案は、ハウジング11の円筒面11でアー
ム7の円筒部15の内周面を保持し、フランジ1

両端部を保持し、かつ、これらの部分で強い締付
力を作用させることができるので、円筒部15を
半径方向及び軸方向のいずれにも確実に固定する
ことができる。そして円筒部15はハウジング6
と一体化して補強されると共に、該円筒部15が
軸方向長さlを有することにより円筒面に加わる
半径方向又は曲げ方向の荷重に対する応力は軽減
され、耐久性が向上する。また、それぞれの軸方
向の長さlとLの長さ及び寸法差L−lの値が多
少異なつても、かしめ部12a又は19aに遊〓
を生じたり、かしめ力に大きなばらつきが生じな
いから、ゆるみのない確実な固着をすることがで
きる。しかも該かしめ部12a,19aを内周側
が深くなる打出し角度で塑性変形させたから、か
しめ幅が小さいにも拘らず大きい塑性変形を行な
わせることができて強固なかしめ結合が得られ
る。また、溶接による固着と異なり加熱をしない
ため、錆びの発生による商品価値の低下も防止す
