In this type of engine with divided crankcases, each crankcase has an oil supply passage, an oil pump is provided on one side of the case, and oil is supplied from this oil pump to the oil supply passage of each case.

Since the distribution passage and the oil supply passage are connected by joining, high precision is required in machining these passages or the cut surfaces, and high precision is also required in the assembly of each case. In addition, in such an engine, it is possible to connect the oil pump on one side of the case and the oil supply passage on the other side of the case using a pipe installed outside the crankcase, but the connection and sealing of the pipe is essential. There are disadvantages in that the number of assembly steps increases and the number of parts such as pipes and joints increases.

The lubricating device disclosed in the publication includes a gear case attached to one side of the crankcase, a gear group housed inside the gear case, an oil pump driven by engine power attached to the gear case, and an oil pump that communicates with the outlet of the oil pump. An oil passage formed in the gear case and an oil passage formed in the crankcase are communicated via an oil passage formed in the shaft for supporting the gear.

In order to use the shaft, the shaft must be machined which increases manufacturing costs, and the diameter of the shaft through-hole is limited due to the strength of the shaft, making it impossible to feed sufficient oil. Another problem was that the locations to which oil could be supplied were extremely limited.

Can be supplied regardless of direction. The purpose is to provide an oil piping structure for engines.

In an oil piping structure in which the oil discharged from the oil pump is distributed inside the crankcase to the oil passages of each connected case, an oil passage is provided in each case to which oil is to be distributed, An oil pipe is opened such that the axis of the oil passage is perpendicular to the joint surface of the case, and an oil pipe branched in the same direction as the opening is arranged between the oil pump side discharge port and the opening of the case to be distributed. Further, an oil piping structure for an engine is provided in which a tip end of the oil pipe is inserted into the oil pump side discharge port and the opening.

Each branched end is inserted into the opening of the oil passage of each case, and the oil pump and the oil passage of each case are communicated through the oil pipe. Therefore, high precision is not required for machining the joint surfaces and oil passages of each case, and there is no need for machining of shafts, etc., and the necessary parts are limited to oil pipes, seals, etc. The number of parts does not increase. The oil pipe branches in the dividing direction of each case, and the branched end can be inserted into the opening of the oil passage of each case at the same time as the cases are joined, and the assembly is easy.

The second step 43 of
The distal end 38f is inserted into the tip 38f, and the seal ring 39 is pressed against the first step 43b to form a seal. In this way, by forming a passage in one half and attaching one of the branch parts of the pipe to the passage so as to be perpendicular to the joining surface, by joining the other half, the other branch part can be fitted at the same time. A supply path from the oil pump 25 is formed by inserting the two halves and joining them together. A joint 44 is provided at the outer end of one of the horizontal passages 42 and connected to a pipe 45 to supply oil to other mechanisms.

An oil pipe branched in the same direction as the opening is disposed between the oil pump side discharge port and the opening of the case to be distributed, and the tip of the oil pipe is connected to the oil pipe. Since it is fitted into the pump side discharge port and the opening, it is possible to supply sufficient oil to each case, and high precision is not required for machining the joint surfaces and oil passages of each case. The number of parts can be reduced, and furthermore, assembly is easy, and manufacturing costs can be reduced. On the other hand, since the oil discharged from the pump is not supplied through the oil passage formed in the shaft for supporting the gear, piping can be freely carried out to the required oil supply location, allowing for rational design.
