Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the cooling effect of a disc brake, by providing frictional members each constituting a brake pad, both surfaces of an annular disc section in a brake disc, and by exposing the outer surface of the annular disc section in part. CONSTITUTION:Frictional members 25, 26 for constituting pads are applied on and integrally incorporated with both surfaces 23, 24 of an annular disc section 201 in a brake disc 2. Several holes 251..., 261...are formed in the frictional members 25, 26 applied on both surfaces of the disc section 21 in the disc 2, piercing thicknesswidth therethrough. Accordingly, the outer surface of the disc section 21 is uncovered and therefore exposed at several positions 231..., 241.... Thereby, even if the disc section as a core metal is heated by brake generating heat transmitted from the frictional members to the disc section, it is possible to radiate the heat.

(Prior Art) A disc brake type brake system has been put into practical use as a vehicle brake system, and this type is composed of a brake disc on the wheel side and a brake caliper on the main body side. A brake caliper consists of a piston that is operated by hydraulic pressure and a brake pad, which is a friction member that is pressed by the piston.A metal brake disc part is placed between the brake pads, and the piston presses the brake pad, causing the brake disc to The brake is applied by squeezing the disc portion of the brake.

In addition, the disc part rubs against the pad every time you brake, and the surface gets scratched as a result of being rubbed.Since it is on the wheel side, moisture etc. adhere to it and cause rust, which can lead to IA scratches, which can lead to life-threatening problems and poor durability. In addition, since braking is performed using a pad with a small area, the wear of the pad is relatively short, and it is necessary to replace it, so it is desirable to improve the life and durability in this respect, as well as the parallelism, Even if surface roughness is maintained at a high level, it is difficult to completely suppress vibrations during pressure braking by brake pads because the disc is made entirely of metal, and it is difficult to completely suppress so-called brake squeal.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from below-L, according to the present invention, the friction material is integrally provided on the disc side, and a hole is provided in the friction material to expose a part of the surface of the disc part, so that heat generated by braking is reduced. Heat can be dissipated even if the disk part that forms the core metal is heated by heat transfer from the friction material to the disk part, and cooling is performed effectively by the rotation of the disk.In addition to this excellent cooling effect, the friction material on the disk side Because it is integrally provided, the surface accuracy of the disc part is determined by the abutment corresponding to the pad on the caliper side, and by simply increasing the surface accuracy of the small area of the abutment, it is possible to eliminate the need for the conventional high precision of the disc part. The friction material surface is wider than the conventional pad surface, so the amount of wear of the friction material is reduced, and the durability and lifespan are improved by 1. In particular, since the surface of the disc part is coated with different types of friction materials, the vibrations generated during braking are absorbed by the friction materials, providing good vibration isolation, and the pad corresponding to the pad side can be integrated with the piston side. Therefore, the rigidity of the conventional pad side is increased, and in addition to the above, it is possible to prevent so-called brake squeal.Furthermore, unlike conventional pads, the friction material is provided on the rotating side, so effective cooling can be achieved, and the heat of the friction material is reduced. It has many advantages, such as being able to prevent deterioration and further improving lifespan and durability.
