Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the durability of a disc brake, by providing frictional members each constituting a brake pad, integrally with both surfaces of an annular disc section in a brake disc. CONSTITUTION:Frictional members 205, 206 for constituting pads are applied on and integrally incorporated with both surfaces 203, 204 of an annular disc section 201 in a brake disc 2 in a brake device 1. In this arrangement, they may be bonded with the use of an adhesive. Further, the disc section 201 is disposed between the outer surfaces 309a, 310a of abutting metals 309, 310 on the caliper 3. Accordingly, the degree of surface accuracy of the disc section is determined by the abutting metal corresponding to the caliper side pad, and therefore, it is not necessary to have a high degree of accuracy, thereby it is possible to enhance the durability of the brake device.

(Prior Art) A disc brake type brake system has been put into practical use as a vehicle brake system, and this type is composed of a brake disc on the wheel side and a brake caliper on the main body side. A brake caliper consists of a piston that is operated by hydraulic pressure and a brake pad, which is a friction member that is pressed by the piston.A metal brake disc part is placed between the brake pads, and the piston presses the brake pad, causing the brake disc to The brake is applied by squeezing the disc portion of the brake.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) In the above brake device, since the annular disc part of the brake disc is pressed between the pads, the parallelism and flatness of the disc part are highly required, and the brake A certain level of surface roughness is required for the sound and compatibility with the pad, and extremely high precision is required in manufacturing. The manufacturing is troublesome, complicated, and difficult, and the cost is high. The current situation is to match the above requirements.

In addition, the disc part rubs against the pad each time you brake, causing scratches on the surface, and since it is on the wheel side, there is a risk of moisture adhering to it and causing rust, so improvements can be made in terms of lifespan and durability. In addition, since braking is performed using pads with a small area, the pads wear out relatively quickly and must be replaced, so it is desirable to improve lifespan and durability in this respect as well. Even if the brake pads are used to apply pressure during braking, it is difficult to completely suppress vibrations because the discs are made entirely of metal, and it is difficult to completely suppress so-called brake squeal.

(Effects of the Invention) As is clear from below-L, according to the present invention, first, since the friction material is integrally provided on the disc side, the surface accuracy of the disc part is improved by the pad equivalent to the pad on the caliper side. By simply increasing the surface accuracy of the small area of the pad, the disk part does not need to have the same high precision as in the past, making it easier to manufacture the disk, and the friction material surface is different from the conventional pad surface. The surface of the disk portion is wide, so the wear of the friction material is reduced, and the durability and lifespan are improved. In addition, since the surface of the disk portion is covered with the friction material, it is advantageous in terms of rust prevention.

Next, because the surface of the disc part of the disc is coated with different types of friction materials, the vibrations generated during braking are absorbed by the friction materials, providing good vibration isolation, and the padding corresponding to the pad side can be integrated with the piston side. Therefore, the rigidity of the conventional pad side is increased, and in addition to the above, so-called brake squeal prevention 1F can be achieved.

Furthermore, the friction material is provided on the rotating side, unlike in the past, and therefore effective cooling can be achieved, thermal deterioration of the friction material can be prevented, and further improvements in life and durability can be expected.
