本発明は、厚板圧延の幅出し圧延や熱間コイル

でターンテーブル103を使つて再び90゜方向を
変え、粗圧延機105において最終成品厚みまで
長手方向に圧延する。他方、熱延コイルの場合
は、幅出し圧延機102をバイパスさせてアタツ
チドエツジヤ104と粗圧延機105の併用によ
り幅広がりを規制しながら長手方向の圧延を所定
量行なう。その後、クロツプシヤ106で頭部を
切断してから仕上圧延機107で最終成品厚みま
で圧延を行ない、ダウンコイラ108に巻き取ら
せている。該方式によると、幅出し圧延機102
とターンテーブル103を組込むためライン長さ

は、中間テーブルローラ4がボトムスライデイン
グビーム2を利用して収められる。該中間テーブ
ルローラ4は厚板圧延を行なう際に使用されるも
ので、ビームによつて連結されている左右の支持
フレーム5に両端が取付けられ支承されると共に
支持フレーム5に取付られた駆動歯車箱6にカツ
プリング7を介して接続され、駆動歯車箱6を含
めて一ユニツトとされている。したがつて、ハウ
ジングの外へ取出される場合には、駆動歯車箱6
の入力軸のカツプリング8部分において駆動モー
タ9の回転を伝えるシヤフト10から切断されて
搬出される。この中間テーブルローラ4は、竪ロ
ール1を後退させた状態で前後のトツプスライデ
イングビーム3,3間から天井クレーン等に吊下
げて導入し、ボトムスライデイングビーム2に楔
機構(ウエツジ機構)11を利用して固定され
る。楔機構11は、楔状のストツパ12とこれを
推進するねじ機構13から成り、ライン方向に貫
通させられたボトムスライデイングビーム2の穴
14に装備されている。他方、中間テーブルロー
ラ4側にもストツパ12が嵌まる穴15が支持フ
レーム5に穿孔されている。尚、中間テーブルロ
ーラ4の竪形圧延機ハウジングへの挿入に際して
は、竪ロール1を取外した状態で行なうか、竪ロ
ール1の最大開き量を従来より大きくして最大開
きの状態で行なう。又、中間テーブルローラ4の
本数および駆動方式は取扱かわれる被圧延材の寸
法や操業条件等の各種条件に応じて適宜選択され

ラに巻き取らせることは既に述べたところであ
る。他方、厚板圧延の際には、中間テーブルロー
ラ4をハウジング内に固定し、ターンテーブルと
粗圧延機を利用して幅出し圧延を行なう。つま
り、ターンテーブルで被溶接材を90゜回転させて
から中間テーブルローラ4を介して粗圧延機に導
入し、圧延を行なう。そして、幅が所定の寸法に
なると再び90゜方向を変え長手方向に圧延する。
該厚板圧延の場合、単に従来の竪形圧延機と水平
圧延機とを近接配置した圧延設備では竪形圧延機
のエプロン部分で送ることができないような厚板
圧延用の小さなスラブであつても、テーブルロー
ラ4の回転によりスムースに水平圧延機へ送るこ
とが可能である。又、小さなスラブの場合、粗圧
延機を逆転させて竪形圧延機側へ送るときに変形
(曲り)が大きくてパスラインよりも下方へ先端
が送られる虞があるが、送り方向へ回転するテー
ブルローラ4によつてパスラインに案内されるの
で事故を防ぎうる。しかも、その際の衝撃負荷に
