The present invention relates to a magnetic recording medium, and an object thereof is to provide a magnetic recording medium having a magnetic layer having excellent durability and low surface electrical resistance. Generally, the magnetic layer of a magnetic recording medium, which is made by applying a magnetic coating consisting of magnetic powder, binder, organic solvent, and other necessary components onto a substrate such as polyester film, comes into violent sliding contact with a magnetic head during recording and reproduction. Therefore, it is required to have low wear and excellent durability. Various proposals have been made to meet this requirement, one example of which is one in which the magnetic layer contains a highly slippery fluororesin such as trichlorofluoroethylene. However, although the magnetic layer containing this fluororesin has a lower coefficient of friction and greater lubricity due to the fluororesin, the improvement in wear resistance is not fully satisfactory; Since fluororesin does not have an antistatic effect, it is not possible to sufficiently reduce the surface electrical resistance of the magnetic layer to improve the antistatic effect. In view of the above circumstances, the inventors conducted various studies and found that the abrasion resistance of the magnetic layer can be sufficiently improved by incorporating a perfluoroalkyl phosphate ester known as a surfactant into the magnetic layer. It has been discovered that not only can the antistatic effect be improved by sufficiently reducing the surface electrical resistance, but also the antistatic effect can be improved. The present invention was made as a result of such studies, and achieved the intended purpose by incorporating a perfluoroalkyl phosphate ester into the magnetic layer. The perfluoroalkyl phosphate ester used in this invention has perfluoroalkyl, which has good lubricity as a water-soluble fluorosurfactant, and phosphate ions, which provide conductivity, and therefore sufficiently improves the abrasion resistance of the magnetic layer. At the same time, the surface electrical resistance is sufficiently reduced to improve the antistatic effect. Such an effect is achieved by containing perfluoroalkyl phosphate ester in the magnetic layer in an amount of 0.1% or more by weight based on the magnetic powder, and the effect becomes more pronounced as the content increases. However, if the content exceeds 15% by weight based on the magnetic powder, it will bleed out onto the surface of the magnetic layer, contaminating the magnetic head and reducing the output. It is preferable to include it in the magnetic layer. A specific example of a commercially available perfluoroalkyl phosphate ester includes perfluoroalkyl phosphate S-112 manufactured by Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. In order to incorporate such a perfluoroalkyl phosphate ester into a magnetic layer, it is dissolved in a suitable solvent such as isopropyl alcohol, and the solution obtained by dissolution is applied or sprayed onto a previously formed magnetic layer. Alternatively, the magnetic layer may be immersed in the above solution, or the perfluoroalkyl phosphate ester may be incorporated by kneading with magnetic powder and a binder to form a magnetic layer. Next, embodiments of this invention will be described. Example γ-Fe 2 O 3 magnetic powder 68 parts by weight VAGH (manufactured by UCC, USA, vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-vinyl alcohol copolymer) 26 〃 N1432J (manufactured by Nippon Zeon Co., Ltd., acrylonitrile-
Butadiene copolymer) 5 Coronate L (polyisocyanate manufactured by Nippon Polyurethane Co., Ltd.) 2 Carbon black 7 Toluene 75 Methyl isobutyl ketone 75 A magnetic paint made from this composition was prepared and applied to a 75μ thick polyester film. It was coated on both sides to a dry thickness of 3 μm and dried to form a magnetic layer. This was then immersed in a 5% isopropyl alcohol impregnated solution of perfluoroalkyl phosphate S-112 manufactured by Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. After drying, it was punched out into a disk shape to produce a magnetic disk with a diameter of 200 mm. Comparative Example A magnetic disk was prepared in the same manner as in the example except that a 5% isopropyl alcohol impregnating solution of Dyfloil #20 (trichlorofluoroethylene manufactured by Daikin Industries, Ltd.) was used instead of the impregnating solution in the example. The magnetic disks obtained in the Examples and Comparative Examples were inserted into a dirt prevention jacket and loaded into a recording/reproducing device, and brought into contact with the magnetic head at a pad pressure of 25 g/cm 2 while sliding at a circumferential speed of 10 m/sec. The running time until the playback output reached 50% of the initial output was measured. Furthermore, the surface electrical resistance of each magnetic disk was measured according to JIS.C.6240, 9.4.1. The table below shows the results.

[Table] As is clear from the above table, the magnetic disk obtained by the present invention (Example) has a longer running time and lower surface electrical resistance than the conventional magnetic disk (Comparative example). This shows that the magnetic recording medium obtained according to the present invention has excellent durability and a sufficiently low surface electrical resistance.
