When installing decorative boards, when adjacent end faces of the decorative boards are brought into contact, if the end faces do not come into uniform contact, a gap will be created and the appearance quality of the decorative wall surface will deteriorate after construction. For this reason, the dimensions of the decorative board are controlled with high precision, and the end faces are reprocessed by planing or the like as necessary, but the management and work required for these operations is extremely troublesome.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of a decorative board that is an embodiment of this invention. In FIG. 1, a decorative board 1 has a convex portion 2 in the center, and each peripheral portion 3 is provided with a groove 4 along the corresponding peripheral portion. Each groove 4... is
When adjoining decorative boards are pressed together during construction, the end face 5
It is necessary that the end face 5 has the function of imparting elasticity in the direction in which the end face 5 and the end face 5 are pressed against each other. As a groove having such an effect, for example, a U-shaped groove as shown in FIG. 1 is preferably used, but the groove is not limited to a U-shaped groove. The shape and structure of the grooves are not limited in any way as long as they impart elasticity in the direction in which they press against each other. The elasticity that acts in the direction of pressing against each other does not create a gap between the end surfaces 5 of adjacent decorative boards, and can give a beautiful finish to the decorative wall surface.

Next, a method of constructing this decorative board will be explained. At each peripheral part 3 of the decorative board 1, there is a U as shown in FIG.
A large number of decorative boards 1 with mold grooves 4 formed therein are prepared.
On the back side of the decorative board 1, a female groove part 8 is formed by fixing a back plate 7 to one end of the peripheral edge of the back plate 6 with an adhesive or the like, as shown in FIG. Note that the back plate 6 is fixed to the back side of the decorative board 1 with an adhesive or the like. Further, on the other end of the back side of the decorative board 1, a male corrugated part 10 is formed by fixing a back board 9 to the peripheral edge outside the U-shaped groove 4 with an adhesive or the like, as shown in FIG. Next, the back plate 7 attached to one end of the peripheral edge of the back plate 6 is fixed to the body rim 11 with fixing means 12 such as nails or rivets, or with an adhesive. Subsequently, the male tongue portion 10 of another decorative board 1b, that is, the protruding portion of the back plate 9, is inserted into the tongue groove 13 of the decorative board 1a previously fixed to the rim 11, as shown in FIG. At this time, the end surfaces 5a and 5b of the decorative plates 1a and 1b are pressed. When the end surfaces are pressed together in this way, the grooves formed around the periphery of the decorative board are temporarily deformed slightly by the pressing force, and then try to return to their original shape, so that the end surfaces 5a and 5b are elastic in the direction in which they are pressed against each other. Granted. Therefore, no gap is created between the end faces of the decorative board.

This design has grooves along the periphery that provide elasticity in the direction in which the end surfaces of adjacent decorative boards press against each other during construction, so during finishing,
There is no gap between the end faces of the decorative board. Therefore, the decorative wall surface will have a beautiful finish after construction. Needless to say, when constructing the decorative board, there is no need for adjustments such as the conventional re-processing of the end face such as planing. Therefore, according to this invention, the construction effort is significantly reduced.
Can be constructed efficiently in a short time.

In the packaging of decorative boards 14 having convex portions 15, spaces 17 were conventionally formed at both ends of each decorative board 14 as shown in FIG. 4 when stacked and stored in a packaging box 16. These spaces represent a significant loss for packaging decorative laminates. Such a loss can be eliminated by the following configuration. That is,
In the uneven decorative board obtained by laminated veneer molding,
As shown in Fig. 5a, the rising part of the convex part 15 is
8, so that the convex portion 15 moves in the direction of depression in response to external pressure, and returns to its original state (having flexibility and cushioning properties) when the external pressure is removed. In this case, both ends of the decorative board may have tongue and groove structures 19 and 20 as shown in FIG. 5a. When the decorative board constructed in this way is subjected to pressure in the direction of the arrow on the convex portion 15 during packaging, it deforms into a nearly flat state as shown in FIG. 5b. Therefore, when the cosmetics are stacked and stored, the space loss of the packaging is significantly reduced. Note that the pressure applied during packaging must be within the range of elasticity of the product, and must be such that the product returns to its original state when the pressure is reduced.

Decorative boards employing such a configuration have excellent cushioning properties, so they easily absorb external vibrations and shocks even during packaging and after installation. Therefore, it is less likely to be scratched or damaged.
