Conventionally, painting work on large-scale buildings has been carried out by erecting scaffolds one after another along the side walls of the building, and relying on the scaffolds, workers operate paint machines or paint with brushes. Therefore, it takes much longer to erect and remove scaffolding than it takes to paint, which is extremely inefficient and can also be dangerous because the work is done at height. There was a big drawback. There are also paint nozzles and brushes that can be hung from the roof of a building (Japanese Patent Application Publication No.
No. 53-1240) or the first step across the surface to be treated to spray insulating foam onto the tank wall.
A surface treatment device (Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 147564/1989) that consists of a frame, a vertical sliding frame, and an adjustable frame has been proposed, but although the former has a degree of freedom in vertical movement, it is not safe. The problem is that only a narrow coating width can be secured, and there is no means to adjust the distance from the surface to be coated, or the latter requires covering a vertical coating area of several tens of meters, or There is a drawback that the structure does not allow for the necessary cramping work in advance.

The present invention relates to an automatic painting machine developed to efficiently and safely paint large-scale buildings where painting is impossible without constructing large-scale scaffolding. A specially designed coating device is attached to a base that can move vertically and horizontally over a wide range using a movable crane arm, a leader with a large vertical height, and a catch fork 50 that supports the base of the leader. . This is thought to be a painting machine that eliminates the need for people to work at high places and can be done completely unmanned, or a model that comes with a gondola for repair painting and edge painting of window frames, etc., but both of them are installed on scaffolding. It is highly safe as it eliminates the need for The characteristics of the painting machine, which will be explained in detail later, are that the painting nozzle is always oriented almost perpendicular to the painting surface;
In order to make the distance between the painted surface and the nozzle almost constant and to make the thickness of the paint film uniform, a contact element is provided to the painted surface, and the contact pressure is converted into an electric signal to operate the cylinder. This includes the fact that it has a brush that allows for easy cleaning.

The first feature is that a truck crane 1 and a leader 2, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, are used as moving mechanisms for the coating equipment. This combination was originally used in vibration-free, noise-free pile drivers and auger hammer machines for foundation construction, and is suitable for working with the leader 2 fixed in one place, and is suitable for painting. It was thought that it was not suitable. The inventor also attempted to use other relatively easily movable devices, such as attaching a paint sprayer to the tip of a crane, or attaching a paint sprayer to a gondola that moves up and down from the crane, but all attempts ended in failure. . The distance between the painted surfaces is fixed by the truck crane 1 and the leader 2, and the paint spacing can be maintained correctly by the rotation and expansion/contraction mechanism of the paint sprayer, which will be described later.This allows for reliable crane work and an extremely excellent paint finish. This made it possible. What's more, the movement of the leader is completed in a shorter time than expected, and because the coating machine has a traverse device built into it, once the leader 2 is fixed, the coating width is 1.2 to 2 meters, making it an extremely efficient work base. ing. Truck cranes are commercially available with lengths up to 26.2m main boom 3, and the side walls of most factory buildings can be painted unattended. Also, as is clear from Figure 2,
Since the truck crane 1 is fixed at one location and the leader 2 is moved sequentially while painting, the maximum work area is about 15 m wide even with a leader length of 18 m and a movement angle of 90 degrees. If scaffolding were to be erected for painting work in this vast area as in the past, it would be easy to imagine that the work would be enormous.

Therefore, as shown in FIG. 1, the coating machine 4 is installed on a lifting platform 6 that slides up and down two leader guides 5 provided along the leader 2. The lifting platform 6 is equipped with a hoisting sheave 7 at the top, similar to the guide of a pile driver, and can be moved up and down or stopped as desired by winding the wire 8. Of course, the distance between the side wall painting surface 9 of the building and the leader 2 is set at a distance within which the paint sprayer 4 can reach, so the painting nozzle 10
The distance between the surface and the painted surface is almost fixed. Further, the coating machine 4 is equipped with a scrubbing brush 11, and can efficiently carry out the labor-intensive scrubbing work.

The second feature is that various mechanisms are incorporated into the main body of the sprayer in order to ensure and homogenize the cleaning and painting operations and to expand the coating width mentioned above. In other words, it is important to adjust the contact pressure of the brush 11 against the painting surface 9 for scrubbing work, and for painting work, it is important to adjust the contact pressure of the brush 11 against the painting surface 9.
Since adjusting the distance between the paint surface 9 and the painting surface 9 has an important effect on the finish, a sensitive contact 12 is provided at the tip of the sprayer to adjust the contact pressure and the distance, and a telescopic arm 13 at the base and a telescopic motor cylinder 14 are installed at the tip of the sprayer. According to
The main body of the coating machine is moved back and forth in response to an electrical signal from a sensitive contact 12. Furthermore, in order to equalize the contact of the brush and adjust the angle of the nozzle with respect to the painted surface, a rotating bearing 15 is provided on the lifting platform 6, and a rotating gear 38 is engaged with the rotating platform motor 37, so that the nozzle can be rotated horizontally. This is what we are doing.

As shown in FIG. 3, the sensitive contact 12 is provided with an adjusting roller 16 at its tip, pressed by a coil spring 17 at its base, and equipped with adjusting limits 18 and 19. In this case, the brush brush 11 is arranged horizontally, and is driven by a timing belt 22 from a brush motor 21 provided on a brush roll mounting base 20.The sensitive contactor 12 is also mounted on this brush roll mounting base, and the mounting base 20 is Two left and right slide bars 22, 23 and a longitudinal motion cylinder 2
4 and 24 further adjust the contact pressure of the brush so that it can come into good contact with the unevenness of the painted surface 9 and absorb the shock.

At the tip of the telescopic arm 13, which is extended and retracted by the motor cylinder 14, guide rails extending approximately 1.5 to 2 meters on the left and right are installed as an upper guide rail 25 and a lower guide rail 26, and furthermore, a lateral movement motor 27 and a lateral movement ball screw 28 are installed. is attached, and a transverse feed table 29 is provided that straddles the upper and lower guide rails and moves left and right by the rotation of the ball screw. The bearing 30 of the slide bar 23 of the brush roll mounting base 20 is mounted on this horizontal feed base.
A reciprocator 31 that moves the spray gun, i.e., the painting nozzle 10 left and right, moves left and right along a reciprocating base 33 with a width of approximately 2 m and is provided with upper and lower roller guides 32. Spray while doing so. As shown in Fig. 4, the reciprocator 31 is moved left and right by a chain drive from the reciprocating promoter 34, and since the paint pressure hose 35 is guided together with the cable carrier 36, there is no bending or damage to the hose, and the movement is extremely smooth. be. In addition, the reciprocator 31 has a function that cuts off the spray of paint at the left and right turn points, and an electrical sequence controller that automatically adjusts both the spray position and spray width of the paint.

The above-mentioned painting machine is convenient for painting the entire surface, such as painting the sides of oil tanks and ships, but if there are windows etc. on the wall of the building, frame painting or touch-up painting is required, and partial painting is required. It is not suitable for painting that requires manual labor. In such a case, a gondola type can be used, and the gondola is attached to the top of the coating machine. For gondola type, the first
