Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent an attraction between a magnetic disk medium and a magnetic head during a stop of the device by providing a circumferential protruding band on which an end of the magnetic head is mounted to rest on one end of a magnetic head resting circumferential band on a magnetic disk medium. CONSTITUTION:When a magnetic disk device stops, a magnetic head 2 on a data area 3 is situated at a contact, activation/stop area (CSS area) 4, a magnetic disk medium 1 stops its rotation and the magnetic head 2 contacts on the CCS area 4 and stops. 態で休止する。磁気ディスク装置起動時はまず磁気へラ
ド3が突起帯5に乗り上げた状態からC5S領域4にも
どされ、この状態で従来の磁気ディスク装置同様磁気デ
ィスク媒体lは回転し、磁気へラド2は浮上し1次にデ
ータ領域3に移されデータの記録および読出しを行うご
とく作動される。
