クレーンである。5は該スタッカクレーン4と同様に並
設された荷物格納棚2の間に設置されており、荷物3を
車体1の長手方向に該荷物格納棚2に対応させて搬送す
るコンベアである。前記スタッカクレーン4とコンベア
5とで仕分は装置m6を構成している。7a、7bはそ
の搬送方向を車体1の幅方向となるように設置した搬出
入コンベアで、車体1に形成された出入口8a、8b、
8c、8dに対応して設けられている。また、該搬出入
コンベア7a、7bは、走行中において通路部90反対
側の出入口8c、8dの近傍に固定され、前後車両間の
連絡通路10および通路部9を通行できるようにし、荷
物3の搬出入時には該車両が停車したホームに対応させ
て出入口8a、8bまたは8c、8dの近傍に固定する
。なお、前記スタッカクレーン4およびコンベア5から
成る仕分は装置6は、図示しない制御装置によって運用
され、走行中に前記荷物格納棚2の各番地毎に、該制御
装置内の記憶部に記憶された荷物3の行先データに従っ

て、停車直前に前記搬出コンベア7aを到着ホーム側の
出入口8aあるいは8Cの方向へ駆動装置((2)示省
略)によって移動させ、荷物3が簡単、かつ、迅速に降
ろせるように位置決めする。また、搬入コンベア7bも
前記搬出コンベア7aと同様に到着ホーム側の出入口8
aあるいは8cの方向へ移動させ、荷物3の禎込みが簡
単、かつ、迅速に行なえるよう位置決めされる。この状
態で車両が停車後、直ちに前記搬出コンベア7a、  
コンベア5および搬入コンベア7bを動作させて、該搬
出コンベア7a、コンベア5から荷物3を車外に搬出し
、かつ、搬入コンベア7bおよびコンベア5によって車
外の荷物3を車内へ積込む。このようにして、荷物3の
搬出入作業終了した後は、前述のように前記搬出入コン
ベア7a、7bが通路部9と反対側の出入口8Cおよび
8dの方向へ移動する。この動作により、通路部9およ
び連絡通路1oの通行を可能にする。なお、到着ホーム
が該通路部9の反対側の時は、前記動作は行われない。
