DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION One well-known connection structure for securing a pair of plates in overlapping and surface-to-surface contact is shown in expired US Pat. No. 2,786,572; In this structure, a locking piece stamped from one plate is pushed into a locking hole formed by a holding piece stamped from the other plate. The connection structure according to the above-mentioned patent can be used, for example, in wrap-around product containers (carrying containers) to form a firm and reliable connection, in which the container material wraps around the product group against the tension of the material. The packaging is tightened to maintain the firmness of the packaging. Some wrap-around product containers using the connecting structure of the above-mentioned patents can function as containers for large primary packaging; is not always suitable, and in some cases large primary packages have to be sent back to the packer due to environmental considerations or other reasons that have recently been emphasized. Due to the desire for packaging integrity, plate connections used in wrap-around containers (particularly for large bottles or cans) are designed to withstand significant tension in the container material or connections weakened by excessive moisture. , is required to be sufficiently strong.

In the present invention, the plate connection structure shown in the aforementioned US Pat. No. 2,786,572 is improved to significantly enhance package integrity. Said reinforcement is effected by providing retaining means, such as grooves, in the locking piece, said means receiving the free end of the retaining piece when the locking piece is pushed into the locking hole formed by the retaining piece; Therefore, the locking piece and the holding piece are held at an angle to each other. Furthermore, a fixing piece is provided that projects from the end of the locking hole, said fixing piece being inserted into the fixing hole made in the locking piece when the locking piece is pushed into the locking hole as usual.

A number of tensioning holes 33-36 are made in the stacking plate 16 and similar holes in the stacking plate 17 for tensioning the material around the product group before joining the plates 16 and 17. Tension holes 37-40 are made. As is well known, tensioning parts (of the packaging machine) are inserted into the tensioning holes 33 to 36, and these parts are inserted into the tensioning holes 37 to 40.
It moves inward in a direction opposite to the direction of movement of similar parts inside, tensioning the material around product C. Also, as is well known, cutout areas 41-44 are made along the edges of the plate 16 to prevent interference with the above-mentioned components inserted into the tensioning holes 37-40;
A similar cut-out area 45 in the end of the keel plate portion 28 to prevent interference with the above-mentioned parts inserted into the keel plate 28.

After the blank has been properly tensioned around the group of products C, the locking pieces 49-53 are engaged by the locking plungers shown as P in FIGS. 3 and 4 and formed by the retaining pieces 59-63. It is pushed into the lock hole. By this operation, the holding pieces 59 to 63 are bent at their end fold lines 64 to 68,
The free ends of the retaining pieces 59-63 engage with the respective locking pieces, so that the holding pieces and the locking pieces
As shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, they are kept in a "mutually angularly supported" state. Groove 7
The engagement of the free ends of the retaining pieces 59-63 into the retaining pieces 9-83 helps to keep the locking pieces and the retaining pieces mutually supported as described above. Instead of grooves such as grooves 79-83, suitable holes or stamped projections may be provided, but these are all encompassed within the meaning of the above-mentioned "retaining means".

As mentioned above, the locking operation is performed by pushing the locking piece into the locking hole, and at the same time, the fixing piece 7
4-78 are inserted into the fixing holes 69-73 and serve to keep the container locked. The fixing pieces and fixing holes serve to maintain locking reliability even if the fold lines 54-58 at the base of the locking pieces 49-53 are displaced along each locking piece. This deviation of the fold lines 54-58 of the locking piece from the normal position at the base of the locking piece to a position a little further away is due to the fact that the container material, such as cardboard, is weakened (or softened) by high humidity. Occasionally occurs due to

部)をロツクされた状態に保つ役とする。
As is clear from the foregoing, the fixing pieces such as 74-78 and the fixing holes such as 69-73 cooperate with each other even when the atmospheric conditions are high humidity or the fold lines 54-58 It serves to ensure lock reliability even in the event of other conditions that tend to shift the position. Furthermore, the fixing piece and the fixing hole enhance the supporting action of the retaining piece by limiting the relative movement between plates 16 and 17, thus contributing to the reliability of the positive lock. The retaining means 79-83 are such that the free ends of the retaining pieces engage in the grooves 79-83, in particular when the tension in the container is reduced, such as by removing one (or more) products from the container. This prevents the holding piece from slipping along the locking piece, and thus serves to keep the container (the lock part) in a locked state.
