Detailed Description of the Invention [Field of Industrial Application] The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing gradation pattern tiles. A gradation pattern is a colored pattern that has portions in which the tone gradually changes from a dark portion to a light portion within a colored region of the same color.

When spraying the paint 4 using the nozzle 3, the spraying time is controlled and/or the moving speed of the nozzle 3 is controlled, etc., so that the color tone is as shown in FIG. 3(B). After painting a pattern 5 in which the color gradually changes from a dark part 5a to a light part 5b, the tile is fired at an appropriate temperature to obtain a gradation pattern tile (not shown). In addition, different methods of painting other than suffu and -kake are printing methods (e.g., screen printing method) using a shading pattern painting plate (e.g., screen plate or intaglio) consisting of halftone dots or sand grains. Alternatively, there is a method of painting a shading pattern consisting of a collection of fine dots of paint using a pad printing method.

Spraying results in noticeable fluctuations in the amount of paint, and the thinning rate is not constant. As a result, in the past, it was not possible to obtain a stable gradation pattern, resulting in very low yields in mass production. .

In a manufacturing method for obtaining tiles with a gradation pattern by painting and firing the tile base, after the shading pattern is painted and before the gradation pattern is finished, the shading pattern is painted with a similar or similar color to the paint. The glaze was sprayed in particles that were even finer than the fine dots.

The shading pattern 1120 is printed using a screen printing method or a pad printing method. The screen printing method uses a screen plate 9 on which a shading pattern consisting of a set of halftone dots or grains through which the paint 10 passes is formed, as shown in FIG.

The pad printing method is performed using an intaglio plate (not shown) consisting of a collection of minute recesses of different sizes corresponding to a shading pattern. This intaglio plate can also be manufactured using the synthetic positive 13.

Since the tile is fired with a gradation pattern, even when the shading pattern is viewed up close, there is no impression that it is a collection of dots such as halftone dots or sand grains, resulting in a tile with a gradation pattern that has a deep design.
