As shown in Fig. 1, in an automobile, for example, a grille B is provided on the side and rear outer panel A, and a duct is opened inside the grille, so that outside air is taken into the cabin from the front, etc., and the inside air is drawn into the trunk room. It is then discharged from the duct. Such a ventilation system is exemplified in Sankaido Edition Automotive Engineering Complete Book, Volume 13, ``Passenger Car Body'', page 97 onwards.

Examples of conventional vehicle ducts include those shown in FIGS. 2 to 4. That is, the duct 1 consists of a horizontal pipe section 2 having an opening 21 to the outside of the vehicle and a standpipe section 3 having a through hole 31 that leads to the inside of the vehicle, and the horizontal pipe section 2 and the standpipe section 3 are continuous in an L-shape. The centers of each pipe are also continuous. Horizontal pipe part 2
A mounting flange 22 is formed in the opening 21, and is secured to a mounting hole A1 drilled in the outer panel A with screws 24 via a sealing gasket 23. A check valve seat 41 is formed at the connection between the horizontal pipe section 2 and the vertical pipe section 3, and the check valve 4 is constructed by fixing the upper part of a valve body 42 made of a soft membrane. A grille B that covers the opening 21 is attached to the outer panel A, and a hole B1 is bored in the grille B, allowing the opening 21 to communicate with the outside air. Air inside the car is supplied through a standpipe section 3, a check valve 4, and a horizontal pipe section 2.
The air is exhausted through the slit hole B1 of the grille B, and the check valve 4 prevents the outside air from flowing back.

However, in such a conventional vehicle duct 1, the horizontal pipe portion 2 and the vertical pipe portion 3 are directly connected to each other.
Furthermore, since there is no resistance means installed in front of the check valve 4 to prevent the impact of water, when washing the car, etc., the slit hole B1 of the grille B
The water that has passed directly hits the valve body 42 of the check valve 4, reverses the valve body 42, passes through it, rises along the inner pipe wall of the directly continuous vertical pipe section 3, and finally reaches the through hole. There were problems in that water leaked into the vehicle interior beyond 31, or the check valve 4 malfunctioned, causing outside air to flow backwards and allowing water and dust to enter the vehicle interior.

In order to solve this problem, it is possible to make the valve body 42 stronger so that it is difficult to turn over, or to increase the height of the standpipe section 3 so that the water that has entered cannot rise up. In the latter case, there is a risk that the forward flow resistance of the check valve 4 increases and the exhaust efficiency decreases, and in the latter case, it is not always possible depending on the mounting position, and it also reduces the space inside the car, so it is not an effective solution. It can't be.

In order to achieve such an object, in the present invention, the side of the deep end of the horizontal pipe part and the lower end of the vertical pipe part are connected via a connecting part that bends laterally from the deep end of the horizontal pipe part. At the same time, the back wall of the horizontal pipe section is extended beyond the back wall of the vertical pipe section, and a step is formed between the back wall of the horizontal pipe section and the wall of the vertical pipe section. A check valve is provided in the conduit on the inside of the vehicle from the stepped portion.

The water that enters the horizontal pipe section from the opening is bent at the connection part and its energy is reduced, and the water that reaches the back wall of the horizontal pipe bends and then collides with the stepped part and directly collides with the check valve. It is designed to weaken the water force without causing any damage and protect the check valve.

As can be seen in Figures 5 and 6, duct 1
The lower end of the vertical pipe section 3 is connected to the side of the inner end of the horizontal pipe section 2, and each pipe center 2
a and 3a are eccentric, and a connecting portion 5 is formed that bends laterally from the back of the channel of the horizontal tube portion 2. The horizontal pipe part 2 has an opening 21 to the outside air with a flange 22 formed on its outer periphery, and the vertical pipe part 3 has a through hole 31 formed at its upper end to lead into the interior of the vehicle. The duct 1 is integrally molded with resin or the like, and as shown in FIG.
The flange 22 is inserted from the outside, sealed with a packing 23, and fixed with a screw 24.
As in the conventional example, a grille B in which a slit hole B1 is formed is attached to the outer panel A so as to cover the opening 21. On the inner wall of the pipe of the connecting portion 5, a stepped portion 51 facing outside the vehicle when viewed in the pipe direction C and a rib 52 protruding into the pipe are formed. Similarly, when viewed in the pipe direction C, a check valve seat 41 is provided in the pipe on the inside of the vehicle from the stepped portion 51 and the rib 52, and a valve body 42 made of a soft membrane is attached to form the check valve 4. ing.

According to the vehicle duct having the above configuration, the water entering through the slit B1 of the grille B must change its direction along the pipe direction C, and the water force is first reduced here. The water that has changed direction along the inner wall of the horizontal pipe section 2 reaches the connecting section 5, where it collides with the rib 52 and the step section 51 one after another. For this reason, the water force becomes very weak, and even if it then reaches the check valve 4, it will not have enough force to reverse the valve body 42. Further, even if water enters beyond the check valve 4, there is almost no water force, so the height it rises within the standpipe section 3 is extremely small, so the standpipe section 3 can be set low.

7 and 8 respectively show other embodiments of the present invention, and the one shown in FIG. 7 has only a stepped portion 51 and eliminates the rib 25, and the stepped portion 51 alone can control the water force. There is an advantage that the shape of the inside of the conduit becomes simpler and manufacturing becomes easier.
In addition, the one shown in FIG. 8 is provided with a rib 52 that projects obliquely into the pipe at the corner of the stepped portion 51, and the intruding water flows along the inner wall of the pipe as shown by the dashed line. It then changes direction and gets rolled up, colliding with the stepped portion 51 and the rib 52 in that order. Since the ribs 52 protrude perpendicularly to the direction of water movement, there is an advantage that the water force can be effectively reduced.

Two upper and lower valves 4 are installed at the boundary between the connection part 5 and the standpipe part 3.
Valve seats 41, 41, .
It has the advantage that it is difficult to reverse because it is small. In the one shown in FIG. 10, a partition wall 44 is formed in stages in the vertical pipe portion 3, and valve ports 43, 43, . . . are formed in the vertical wall.
...... is drilled, and valve bodies 42, 42, ...... are attached to cover each valve port 43, 43, ......
Since it is far from the opening 21, it is difficult for intruding water to reach the check valve 4, which has the advantage that the check valve 4 is more completely protected.

Figure 11 shows the installation procedure for duct 1.
First, as shown in FIG. 11a, the standpipe portion 3 of the duct 1 is horizontally inserted into the mounting hole A1 of the outer panel A, and then rotated toward the front, resulting in the state shown in FIG. 11b. Next, if the duct 1 is rotated counterclockwise, it will be in the normally installed state as shown in FIG. 11C. Put the duct 1 into the back side of the outer panel A and insert the flange 22 into the outer panel A.
Although it may be pressed against the back side of the cover, it is preferable to attach it from the front side as shown in FIG. 11 in consideration of ease of assembly.

According to the duct for a vehicle according to the present invention, the conduit in the duct is deflected and bent, and the resistance means by the stepped portion is provided, so that the force of water entering the short conduit can be reduced, and the resistance means Since the check valve is installed closer to the inside of the vehicle, water that has entered the check valve will not strongly collide with the valve body and cause the valve body to reverse and lose its check function, and water and dust will not flow back. Since the height of the standpipe section can be lowered and the conduit can be shortened, the duct can be made smaller and can be installed in narrow spaces, which in turn helps reduce the weight of vehicles.
