(3) Prior art and its problems To explain a conventional ventilation duct by taking as an example a ventilation duct attached to a rear fender, for example, there is a ventilation duct shown in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 58-63508. As shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, this ventilation duct D consists of a horizontal pipe section 2 having an opening 2a on the outside of the vehicle at one end, and an upright pipe section 3 having an opening 3a on the inside of the vehicle interior at the upper end. The horizontal pipe part 2 and the vertical pipe part 3 are connected via a connecting part 4 so that the respective pipe centers 2l and 3l are eccentric, and the ventilation duct D
is bent and has two corner portions C 1 and C 2 . In addition, the vehicle exterior opening 2a of the horizontal pipe portion 2
A mounting flange 5 is formed on the edge. The ventilation duct D is inserted from the outside into a mounting hole 6 drilled in the rear fender 1, and the mounting flange 5 is brought into contact with the edge of the mounting hole 6 via a gasket (not shown) and secured with a screw 7. It is installed by. And also, the ventilation duct D
A decorative grille 8 covering the vehicle exterior opening 2a and having a slit 8a is attached to the edge of the vehicle exterior opening 2a.

In such a ventilation duct, the ventilation duct D attached to the vehicle body constitutes a ventilation passage A that communicates the interior and exterior of the vehicle. In this case, there is a concern that car wash water or rainwater may enter the vehicle interior from the outside through the ventilation passage A, but in the ventilation duct D, the rainwater that has entered the ventilation duct D through the outside opening 2a is Since the direction of water W is changed at the corners C 1 and C 2 of the ventilation duct D, the flow of rainwater W is deenergized, so the height of the vertical pipe portion 3 is set to a certain degree. If this is done, there will hardly be a situation in which the deenergized rainwater W runs over the vertical wall of the vertical pipe portion 3 and reaches the interior of the vehicle from the interior side opening 3a. However, in the above-mentioned ventilation duct, a situation arises in which the height of the vertical pipe portion 3 of the ventilation duct D cannot be set large due to the height space of the trunk room R. In this case, a problem arises in that rainwater or the like W that has entered the ventilation duct D runs over the vertical wall of the vertical pipe section 3 and enters the vehicle interior.

そこで、このような不具合を解決するために、

Therefore, in order to solve such problems,
Conventionally, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, a stepped portion 9 protruding outward or a ventilation passage A is provided at a portion adjacent to the outside of the corner portion C1 of the connecting portion 4. Protruding ribs 10 are provided, and the rainwater W that has entered the ventilation duct D collides with these ribs to quench the flow of the rainwater W.

However, in such a conventional ventilation duct, due to the presence of the stepped portion 9, the ventilation duct D
Since the corner portion C 1 of the rear fender 1 has a structure that extends outward, when the ventilation duct D is inserted into the mounting hole 6 of the rear fender 1, as shown in FIG. In addition to the problem that the ventilation duct D gets caught on the edge of the mounting hole 6, which takes time and effort to install the ventilation duct D, the rib 10 must be protruded from the inner wall of the ventilation duct D. The shaping of the ventilation duct D itself becomes troublesome.

In this embodiment, the basic structure of the ventilation duct D is the horizontal pipe section 2 and the vertical pipe section 3, as in the conventional case.
However, unlike conventional pipes, the horizontal pipe section 2 and the vertical pipe section 3 are connected to each other via a connecting section 4 that smoothly extends therebetween. Then, the vehicle exterior opening 2a
The part outside the corner C1 of the ventilation duct D facing the ventilation duct D, which is within the range that opens to the outside opening of the vehicle, is formed into a stair-like shape with a plurality of steps facing the ventilation passage A. The inner wall surface thereof forms a facing surface 12 facing the vehicle exterior opening 2a. Further, the upper part of the vertical pipe part 3 is cut out successively downward as it moves away from the horizontal pipe part 2, as shown by the solid line in FIG. is set below the upper end position of the vehicle exterior opening 2a.

In addition, in this embodiment, V is a one-way valve to prevent dust, exhaust gas, etc. from entering the passenger compartment, and the corner portion is shaped like a step.
It is provided upstream from C1 . This one-way valve V has an opening 14 formed in the frame 14.
It has a rubber sheet 15 that closes the duct D, and the upper part of the frame 14 is connected to the duct D via a thin hinge 14c.
A lid portion 14b that can be bent along the outer shape is integrally molded. On the other hand, protrusions 16a and 16b are formed in parallel on the inner surface of the duct D to support the frame 14 of the one-way valve V from the front and back. The one-way valve V is constructed by inserting the frame 14 between the protrusions 16a and 16b, and
Bend the end of the lid part 14b and attach it to the boss 17 on the duct side.
By heat caulking using , it can be assembled integrally with the duct D before being attached to the vehicle body.

Therefore, when attaching the ventilation duct D to the vehicle body, the attachment hole 6 of the rear fender 1 is used as in the conventional case.
The ventilation duct D may be inserted from the outside, the mounting flange 5 may be brought into contact with the edge of the mounting hole 6, and the screws 7 may be secured. In this case, the ventilation duct D does not have any protruding external protrusions, and the outer diameter of the corner C1 is smaller than before due to the stepped portion K.
When installing the ventilation duct D, the ventilation duct D will be smoothly inserted into the mounting hole 6,
Accordingly, the installation work of the ventilation duct D can be performed easily.

Further, the ventilation duct D attached to the vehicle body constitutes a ventilation passage A that communicates the interior and exterior of the vehicle, but in this embodiment, the presence of the above-mentioned notch 11 ensures a large opening area of the interior opening 3a. is,
Moreover, since the ventilation resistance at the notched portion of the standpipe section 3 is eliminated, even if the ventilation resistance at the corner section C1 increases slightly due to the presence of the stepped section K, the ventilation resistance as a whole is approximately the same as before. Therefore, there is no risk that the ventilation efficiency of the ventilation duct D will be significantly impaired.

Further, in the above embodiment, if rainwater etc. W enters into the ventilation duct D from the vehicle exterior opening 2a, the rainwater etc. W enters the corner of the ventilation duct D.
At C1 , it collides with the facing surface 12 of the stepped portion K facing the vehicle exterior opening 2a. In this state, the flow of rainwater W colliding with the opposing surface 12 is weakened, and the direction of the flow is changed along the opposing surface 12. In this case, the rainwater etc. W' whose flow direction has been changed will disturb the flow of the rainwater etc. W that has infiltrated adjacently, and the force of the flow of the rainwater etc. W that has infiltrated adjacently is weakened. Such a phenomenon is caused by the above-mentioned stepped portion K.
If this is performed sequentially on each of the opposing surfaces 12, the rainwater, etc., W that has entered from the portions that do not face the opposing surface 12 will also be deenergized, and the flow of rainwater, etc., that has entered the ventilation duct will be directed to the corner portion C. In 1 , most of the power is lost. In this case, if the opposing surface 12 is formed as an inclined opposing surface 12a as shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 6, rainwater and the like can be more effectively extinguished. Furthermore, due to the deenergizing effect of water, high pressure water is no longer applied to the one-way valve V on the upstream side, so that the rubber sheet 15 can be sufficiently effective even if it is in the form of a simple thin plate. For this reason, rainwater etc. W that have entered into the ventilation duct D almost never reach the standpipe section 3, and the above-mentioned standpipe section 3
Even if the upper part of the vertical pipe section 3 is largely cut out, a situation in which rainwater or the like runs over the vertical wall of the vertical pipe section 3 and enters the passenger compartment hardly occurs.

Although the present invention is applied to a type of ventilation duct in which the horizontal pipe section 2 and the vertical pipe section 3 are connected via the connecting section 4, for example, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, The present invention may be applied to the ventilation duct D attached to the pipe 13, specifically, the ventilation duct D of the type in which the vertical pipe part 3 is directly connected to the horizontal pipe part 2. In this case, the stepped portion K may be formed at the corner portion C located at the connection portion between the horizontal tube portion 2 and the vertical tube portion 3.

(7) Effects of the Invention As explained above, according to the ventilation duct according to the present invention, a plurality of steps are formed in the corner part of the ventilation duct in a range facing the outside opening of the vehicle, and a staircase is formed toward the inside of the ventilation passage. Since the ventilation duct is formed in a shape to suppress the flow of rainwater or the like that has entered the duct, it is possible to effectively prevent rainwater or the like from entering the vehicle interior through the ventilation duct. Furthermore, according to the present invention, there is no need to protrude ribs for preventing backflow inside the ventilation duct, which facilitates the shaping work of the ventilation duct, and since there are no external protrusions on the ventilation duct, When inserting the ventilation duct into the mounting hole of the vehicle body, the ventilation duct can be inserted smoothly, making the installation work of the ventilation duct easier.
