The present invention relates to a fireproof building material coated with a decorative veneer that has been subjected to a brushing process. There are many fireproof building materials with decorative veneers attached that have been certified by the Building Standards Act, but the thickness of the decorative veneers used in these products is only 0.3.
mm or less, and there are only a few commercially available products, and their surface shape gives them a poor sense of mass and three-dimensionality. The reason for this is that if a thick decorative veneer is used, the organic mass will increase and it will not pass the test standards stipulated by the Building Standards Act. Generally, decorative veneer consists of a soft springwood section and a hard summerwood section. Comparing this with the tracheids of Japanese red pine, the cells in the spring wood are large (l 1 = 30 to 55 μm, l 2 = 40 to 60 μm, as shown in Figure 4a).
m) The cell wall is thin (l 3 = 2.5 to 3.0 μm), whereas the cells in the summerwood part are small (l′ 1
= 30-55 μm, l' 2 8-25 μm), and the cell wall is thick (l' 3 = 3.0-8.0 μm). In other words, the spring wood part has a low density.

[Table] Then, as shown in FIG. 2, a decorative veneer 2 is attached to one side of the fiber-mixed slag gypsum board 1 using an alkali-resistant adhesive. The decorative veneer 2 may be made of any wood as long as it has heather grain, but coniferous trees with a large hardness difference between spring wood and summer wood, such as pine, cedar, Japanese pine, and Japanese cedar, can be suitably used. Alternatively, an artificially grained veneer may be used. In this example, dried rice pine veneer is used. Next, the upper surface of the decorative veneer 2 is brushed to grind the soft spring material portion 3, and the hard summer material portion 4 is projected to give a three-dimensional effect. (See Figure 3) Brushing is performed with a steel brush, brass brush, nylon brush, etc. In this example,
Brushing is done using three rolled steel brushes and one buff roll. Furthermore, in order to create a more three-dimensional effect, it is desirable to use a relatively thick decorative veneer (0.7 mm in this example) and to grind the spring material part 3 as deeply as possible without penetrating it by brushing. In this example, the average thickness of the veneer 2 after grinding is 0.3 mm.
It is as follows. After brushing, finishing such as coloring is performed as necessary. Further, the decorative veneer may be impregnated with a flame retardant agent in advance, or may be applied after brushing to improve its fire retardant performance. If necessary, a balance backer (for example, lauan veneer) may be attached to the back side of the inorganic board to prevent warping. When the product of the present invention produced as described above was subjected to a heating test, it was found that it passed various tests for noncombustible materials as stipulated in the Building Standards Act. There are three reasons for this: The amount of organic matter is reduced by brushing (in the example, the average thickness of the decorative veneer was reduced to 0.3 mm by brushing). The late summer wood remains. The inorganic board used as the base material contains gypsum, so when heated, crystallized water is released from the gypsum (CaSO 4 2 H 2 O) and hemihydrate gypsum (CaSO 4・1/2H 2 O) to become anhydrous gypsum (CaSO 4 ). Since this reaction is endothermic, it suppresses heat generation even when heated and prevents the exhaust temperature from rising, so the exhaust temperature curve is the standard temperature curve. In addition, especially those mixed with fibers (mainly asbestos) as shown in the above examples have high strength and are extremely unlikely to cause harmful deformations such as cracks when heated, so the inorganic board of the present invention is suitable. It is effective as a decorative veneer-covered fireproof building material 5 in the above example.
The PH of the gypsum-containing inorganic board 1 is about 9 to 10.5, and since it does not contain cement, the PH is lower than that of the conventional inorganic board (which has a PH of about 12 to 13), and alkali contamination is relatively less likely to occur. As mentioned above, according to the present invention, since the decorative veneer attached to the inorganic board is brushed, the absolute amount of organic matter is reduced, and the spring material part that is easy to ignite and has a high burning rate is polished away, so that it can be ignited. Since the summer wood part, which is difficult to burn and has a slow burning rate, remains, it is possible to maintain high fire prevention performance. Moreover, the surface of this fireproof building material has heathered grain and unevenness, and can be made into a luxurious decorative veneer-covered fireproof building material with a three-dimensional effect. It should be noted that sufficient performance can be achieved by using conventionally used pulp cement boards, calcium silicate boards, etc. as the inorganic board and performing the above treatment, but when considering the various performances required as a fire-retardant building material, gypsum An inorganic board containing is good. That is,
Since the inorganic board contains gypsum that has crystallized water, the crystallized water of the gypsum separates when heated, and unlike other cement-based inorganic boards, the amount of heat generated can be suppressed, which has a great effect on fire prevention. . Also, materials mixed with fibers (for example, the fiber-mixed slag gypsum board shown in the above embodiment) are strong in strength and do not easily crack when heated, so they are effective as the base material of the present invention.
