Abstract

PURPOSE:To manufacture an angling rod with neither bending nor decrease in strength by a method wherein tape is wound to the outer peripheral surface of a prepreg in the manufacture of a hollow angling rod with non-circular cross-section by placing the prepreg wound onto a mandrel in an outer mold. CONSTITUTION:An angling rod is obtained by pressure-molding and then curing by heating prepreg 2 which is wound on a mandrel 1 and on the outer peripheral surface of which tape 3 made of polyethylene or the like is wound, in a non- circular outer mold 4 such as elliptical, hexagonal mold or the like. Because of being wound with the tape, the prepreg does not directly contact with the outer mold and consequently neither wrinkle nor opening or mesh of fibers develop and further no decrease in strength occurs. Furthermore, because no internal strain develops after curing by heating, an angling rod without bend is obtained.

洞部の形状に変形させて加圧成型するために、成型時の
外型との摩擦によってプリプレグの繊維が移動し皺が寄
ったり繊維に目開きが生じたりして硬化後の管体の表面
に凹凸ができたり、管体の強度を低下させたりすると共
に熱硬化処理における外型とプリプレグの熱膨張係数が
異なるため冷却時の外型の収縮によってプリプレグに内
部歪みが発生し曲がりの原因となる欠陥がある。

に皺が発生して釣竿の表面に凹凸が生じたり、プリプレ
グの繊維に目開きを生じて釣竿の強度を低下したりする
ことがないと共にテープは加熱硬化時のプリプレグと外
型の熱膨張率の違いによる膨張が収縮によって内部歪み
が発生することも防止し、曲がりのない非円形の中空釣
竿を簡易かつ能率良く製造できる優れた特徴を有する。
