本発明は土木、建築の構造物の保護、船舶、橋、タンク
など鉄鋼構造物の長期防錆、屋上、地下タンクの防水材
として、従来の保護材、塗膜の保護材として、表面にラ
イニング材として使用する保護被覆用組成物である。エ
ポキシ樹脂エマルションとエチレン酢酸ビニル系共重合
体エマルションは任意の割合で混合でき、乳化安定した
ものが得られるが、使用に際して、その都度硬化剤を添
加する必要があり、取扱上難点がある。またエチレン酢
酸ビニル系共重合体エマルションは水分の蒸発で造膜し
、温水中で再び乳化する性質を有している。[Detailed Description of the Invention] 3. 本発明は、混合乳化物にエポキシ硬化剤と、架橋添加物
を加え、水および反応抑制剤の蒸発にともなって、硬化
剤および架橋添加物が作用して、耐水性、耐薬品性、耐
候性に優れた柔軟性に富む被覆材が得られる。とくにエ
ポキシ樹脂などの熱硬化樹脂に硬化剤を配合すると、主
剤の反応が始まって、短時間で粘度が上昇し、遂には固
体となるが、本発明は硬化剤を塩素系溶剤、弗素系溶剤
、芳香族系溶剤など親油基に富む溶剤に溶解し、エマル
ション中に分散させることにより、硬化反応を抑制させ
る。このため溶剤の蒸発によってはじめて硬化反応が始
まる。またエチレン酢酸ビニル系共重合体エマルション
に、三価のイオンを有する鉄、アルミニウムを架橋剤と
して添加すると、再乳化しない皮膜を形成する。しかし
、架橋剤と同時に一液中に混合し、長期保管することは
困難であるが、本発明では、あらかじめエチレン酢酸ビ
ニル系共重合体エマルションに、エチレングリコール、
プロピレングリコールを加え、十分撹拌するとエマルシ
ョン粒子の表面はエチレングリコール、プロピレングリ
コールの薄膜によって三価の金属イオンとの架橋は抑制
される特性を使用する。二つの異なる熱硬化性樹脂と熱
可塑性樹脂を同一液中で、しかも硬化剤、架橋添加物と
混合し水および溶剤の蒸発にともなって生じる造膜形成
中に、硬化剤、架橋添加剤の反応が同時進行し、優れた
保護被覆膜を形成する。さらにエポキシ樹脂とエチレン
酢酸ビニル系樹脂の配合、組合せにより、接着力のある
