Abstract

PURPOSE:To secure stable paper travelability, by altering a control angle of a buffer arm and its tension according to a type of paper. CONSTITUTION:Simultaneously with paper running, pressure is produced in a buffer arm, whereby a position detecting plate 7 operates as well. If so, a sensor substrate 8 detects a position of the buffer arm 2 by means of the slit bored in this position detecting plate 7, and performs revolving speed control over a heat roll so as to cause it to become a target angle. An adjusting dial at the front side is rotated round to 'strong' or 'weak' whereby a sensor substrate 9 is rotated, while a target angle of the buffer arm 2 is altered and also its tension is altered and simultaneously a compressive pin 22 serving as a stopper for a coil spring 13 is rotated, varying the tension. With this constitution, multifarious rolls of paper are stably travelable.

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、連続紙出力用電子写真プリンター等の用紙走
行機構に関し、特にその用紙蛇行防止機構に関する。

従来この種の連続紙出力用電子写真プリンターにおいて
は、たとえば第2図に断面図を示した熱圧着ロール式定
着装置を有する連続紙出力用電子写真プリンターのごと
きものがあった。すなわちトラクターのスズロケットに
よって搬送される可視像を持つ連続紙1は定着部入口に
バッファーアームシャフト6とバネ5とによって保持さ
れたバッファーアーム2をへて熱ロール3と圧着ロール
4に入シ熱及び圧力によりトナーが用紙に対して融着さ
れることにより永久画像を得ていた。この時バク7アー
アーム2 Fi連続用紙lに張力を与えトラクタースピ
ード及び熱ロール3圧着ロール4の自転速度に変化がな
い限シ同−位置を維持していた。従って第3図に示した
如きフレーム27に対しセンサー基板8を介して配設さ
れた位置検出プレート7によってこのバッファーアーム
2の位置を検出しこれ釦よって熱ロール3圧着ロール4
の回転速度の制御を行うことによって安定した用紙走行
性を得ていた。

〔解決すべき問題点〕[Problems to be solved]

上述した従来のバッファーアームを備えたプリンターで
はトラクターと熱ロール間の平行度及び水平度、熱ロー
ル、圧着ロールの左右の圧力差などの要因がすべである
条件内に設定されていないと用紙は安定性を失い、左又
は右に蛇行しはじめ用紙が熱ロールと圧着ロールとの間
に噛みこまれシワが発生してしまう欠点があった。この
ため従来は前記要因条件を可能な限り理想値に近づける
ことによって用紙の走行安定を確保してきた。従って各
用紙の1類あるいは単位(紙中1祇厚)を考慮すること
によってバッファーアームの張力及び制御角度を変え前
記要因条件にかなり巾を持たせ各種の用紙に対応してき
た。しかしながら全種類の用紙にわたって共通した張力
及び制御角度は依然として得ることはできなかった。

上述した従来の問題点を解決すべく本発明は、画像形成
転写部と定着部間の用紙走行経路上に用紙種類別にバッ
ファーアームの制御角度及び張力の変更可能な用紙蛇行
防止機構を設けることによって用紙走行の安定を確保し
てなる用紙蛇行防止機構を提供せんとするものである。

30回転速度制御を行う、このセンナ基板8はスリーブ
24にセンサー回転ギヤ23と共に固定されておシ、他
のスリーブ17に固定されてhる調整ダイヤル18.駆
動ギヤ16によす、バッファーアームシャフト6を軸に
ガイド10を案内として回転可能な機構となっている。
