Abstract

PURPOSE:To stop an apparatus with an immediate detection of abonormality in the delivery of a printing paper by checking the angle of tilting of a buffer for applying a tension to the paper with a potentiometer. CONSTITUTION:A buffer 6 is given a behavior to turn clockwise with a spring 11 to apply a fixed tension to a printing paper 2. A potentiometer 10 detects the angle of tilting of a buffer 6 and outputs OV when it is a normal value, namely, 60 deg.. It outputs +V when the angle reaches the upper limit to the detection of abnormality and -V when it reaches the lower limit thereto. The voltage output from the potentiometer 10 is amplified with an operation amplifier 401 and then, a motor 15 for fixing rollers 13 and 14 is so controlled as to normalize the angle of tilting of the buffer 6. Here, when comparators 403 and 404 detect whether the output voltage of the operation amplifier 401 is above the upper limit thereof or below the lower limit thereof an AND gate 410 is opened through an inverter 409 to halt the rotation of the motor 15.
