Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the reduction of cost and the shortening of painting time come to fruition as well as to secure such a frosen seat navigating ship that has sufficient ice-breaking capacity, by coating ice-resisting pains as thick as equivalent to ice thickness and around the waterline of a sheel plate and less than 1/2 of overall length at the bows under the waterline. CONSTITUTION:Ice-resistance paints 1 are coated in and around each waterline 3 at both sides of the hull 2 as shown in oblique lines in a longitudinal direction of the hull 2, and furthermore coated to the bow 4 under the waterline 3 as much as 1/2 of overall length of the hull 2. The reason why the vicinity of the waterline 3 is coated in a whole-sale way is that it is the part coming into directly contact with an ice floe being floated on the surface of the water. Also the reason of coating the bow 4, it is because the part coming into directly contact with the ice floe floating on the surface at the time of icebreaking such as ramming icebreaking or the like. And, when the hull 2 goes backward, the paints are coated to the bow 4 as much as 1/4 of overall length of the hull 2, and also to the stern 5 as much as 1/4 of overall of the hull 2 inclusive a screw 6 and a rubber 7, respectively.

When a ship sails in ice, breaking ice by ramming, etc., the broken ice pieces sink into the sea and come into contact with the outer skin of the ship, destroying the paint film and corroding the steel plate. Conventionally, as a preventive measure, coating the outer surface of a ship's hull with anti-icing paint has been carried out. In addition to the above-mentioned conventional ice-resistant paints, oil-based paints or chlorinated rubber-based paints are used to paint the hull exteriors of ships sailing in icy waters. . Each of the above paints has advantages and disadvantages, which will be explained below.

On the other hand, oil-based paints and chlorinated rubber-based paints have a soft coating film, and when they come into contact with ice, the coating film breaks down and is scraped off. It has no advantages. Therefore, from the viewpoint of ice-breaking ability, ice-resistant paints have recently been widely used in ships for water-sea navigation.

However, the ice-resistant paint is expensive and costly as described above, and furthermore, the application of the ice-resistant paint requires many steps and requires a long time. That is,
To apply ice-resistant paint, first, as a base treatment, the hull is washed with high-pressure fresh water when docked, or when blocked, a discard coat is applied using a power tool treatment, and the main line is sandblasted during nighttime work. . Then apply paint to 60~
It is necessary to heat the product to 70°C, perform inspection coating, check the coating film thickness, apply the coating to a thickness of 500 μm to 1500 μm, and then measure the cured film. As mentioned above, ships using ice-resistant paint for sailing in icy waters have various problems, such as high cost and long hours of work.

An anti-icing paint is applied to the area near the waterline of the hull outer plate to correspond to the thickness of ice, and the bow portion below the waterline is coated with ice-resistant paint to a depth equal to or less than 1/2 of the total length; The lower bow and stern portions are each coated with ice-resistant paint on less than 1/4 of the total length.

FIG. 1 is a schematic side view showing a first embodiment of the invention set forth in claim (1). As shown in FIG. 1, ice-resistant paint 1 is applied near the waterline 3 on both sides of the hull 2 as indicated by diagonal lines in the longitudinal direction of the hull 2, and is further applied to the bow section 4 below the waterline 3. , 1/ of the total length of hull 2
It is painted as indicated by the diagonal lines in 2. As described above, the ice-resistant paint 1 requires a long time to apply, but the present invention can shorten the coating time because the coating area is smaller than before. The reason why the entire area near the waterline 3 is painted is that the area near the waterline 3 is a part that comes into direct contact with ice chips floating on the water surface. The reason why the bow part 4 is painted is because the bow part 4 is a part that comes into direct contact with ice pieces floating on the water surface during ice breaking such as ramming. The vessel for navigating in ice-covered seas of the present invention is equipped with a power having high output, and is therefore suitable for navigating in extremely thick sea areas.

2. It is a schematic side view which shows the 2nd embodiment of the invention described in claim (1). As shown in FIG. 2, the anti-ice paint 1 is applied along the length of the hull 2 as indicated by diagonal lines, and is applied to the bow 4 below the waterline 3, as well as along the diagonal lines along 1/4 of the total length of the hull 2. Painted as shown.

The ship for navigating in ice seas according to the present invention has a small coating area on the bow section 4, so it is suitable for navigating in thin ice and thick sea areas, and the invention described in claim (1) shown in FIG. Compared to the first embodiment of the ice-sea navigation vessel, cost reduction and painting time can be reduced.

FIG. 3 is a schematic side view showing one embodiment of the invention set forth in claim (2). As shown in FIG. 3, the anti-ice paint 1 is applied near the waterline 3 on both sides of the hull 20 as indicated by diagonal lines in the longitudinal direction of the hull 2, and is further applied to the bow section 4 below the waterline 3. 1/ of the total length of hull 2
4 is painted as shown by diagonal lines, and furthermore, the stern part 5 below the waterline 3, including the screw 6 and rudder 7, is painted as shown by diagonal lines at 174 of the entire length of the hull 2. In the present invention, the reason why the stern part 5 is painted is as follows.
This is because this is a portion that comes into direct contact with ice pieces floating on the water surface when the hull 2 moves backward. Therefore, the vessel for navigating in icy waters according to the present invention is equipped with a high-output power capable of moving forward and backward, and is therefore suitable for navigating in extremely icy waters.

The coating range of the ice-resistant paint of the invention described in claims (1) and (2) is within the range:
Determined by taking into account the purpose of use of the vessel, the sea area in which it will be used, the thickness of ice, etc. Furthermore, the shape of the hull and the thickness of the outer skin have no causal relationship with the anti-icing paint.

As described above, according to the ship for navigating in icy seas of the present invention, by reducing the application range of ice-resistant paint, cost reduction can be achieved by reducing the amount of paint used, and painting work time such as surface treatment can be shortened. This will bring significant benefits such as shortening the number of days required for docking.
