Abstract

PURPOSE:To control automatically the quality of products by measuring the steam consumption, steam pressure, condensate temperature, and the temperature of products. CONSTITUTION:The steam generated by a boiler 1 is sent to steam using apparatus 5 and 6 through steam lead pipes 3, 4 branched from a main steam pipe 2. The pressure sensors 17, 18 which measure the steam pressures in the steam lead pipes 3, 4, and product temperature sensors 19, 20 which measure the temperatures of products in steam using apparatus 5, 6 are electrically connected to condensate flow meters 13, 14. The condensate flow meters 13, 14 measure the flow rate of condensate, and measure and display the steam consumptions consumed by the steam using apparatus 5, 6. The data thus obtained are output by pen recorders 21, 22.

Since a flow meter is attached to each steam-using device, the amount of steam consumed by each steam-using device can be measured. Productivity data can be collected separately per unit time. In addition, since it measures the temperature of the product and the steam pressure and condensate temperature, it is possible to measure the amount of heat consumed by each steam-using device from the steam consumption, steam pressure, and condensate temperature, making it possible to control product quality. Data is obtained.
