Conventionally, carpet underlays are often made of natural hemp fibers in the form of non-woven sheets, and these tend to undergo 20 to 30% irreversible deformation immediately after being laid as an underlay. If the load continues to be applied, the thickness will decrease by more than half due to aging.
Also, because it is a natural material that absorbs water, it corrodes and becomes a breeding ground for insects, making it unhygienic. Also, when carpets are replaced, they fall apart and generate a lot of dust. Furthermore, since it is an aggregate of fibrous bodies, it has low sound absorption properties, and has the disadvantage that it does not have the sound absorption or sound insulation effect between floors of high-rise housing complexes, which is required in recent years.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a solution to these problems. In addition, in 1987-126877, a public utility model was registered, a polyethylene foam sheet was laminated with a polyethylene film for reinforcement.
Similar to the invention of the present application, a device in which a large number of holes are passed through is disclosed. However, unlike the present invention, this invention cannot be expected to be very effective in preventing insects, which has become an essential requirement in modern homes.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3.

The foam material 1 is a sheet-like material foamed with at least 50% polyolefin resin at an apparent expansion ratio of 5 to 40 times, and has holes 3 with a diameter of 0.1 to 5 mm.
A large number of them are penetrated. This form material 1
It is particularly preferable to use 100% polyolefin resin or a mixture of the same type at a foaming ratio of 10 to 30 times, and the thickness depends on the required insulation and cushioning properties.
~10 mm is preferable. Further, it is best to provide the through holes 3 with a diameter of 1 to 1.5 mm and a pitch of 3 to 5 mm from the viewpoint of maintaining cushioning properties and breathability. As shown at 2, the foam material 1 is made of breathable woven or nonwoven fabric treated with an insect repellent and bonded together by heat fusion, adhesive, or the like. The woven or nonwoven fabric in step 2 should preferably have good dimensional stability to prevent expansion and contraction, and should be polyester fiber that can be treated with insect repellent.
Polyamide fibers and polypropylene fibers are preferred, and these fibers may be mixed with natural fibers, rayon, or cotton.
Since No. 2 is a woven or non-woven fabric, it can be easily treated with an insect repellent using a printing technique or the like, and the effect can last longer than when a film or the like is used.

When a load is applied to the underlay configured as described above, the air in the closed cells of the foam material 1 is compressed and escapes to the outside air through the through holes 3, and when the load is removed, the air bubbles immediately form. Air returns to the inside, allowing you to recover quickly from fatigue. On the other hand, since it uses a highly foamed foam material, it has high sound absorption and sound insulation properties, which are required for high-rise housing complexes. It is highly effective as a material that prevents excessive vocalizations from being transmitted through the ceiling to downstairs. Naturally, it also has high insulation properties.

4 in FIG. 3 is one in which the breathable woven fabric or nonwoven fabric of 2 is also laminated on the back side, and the expansion and contraction of the underlay is further reduced.

As described above, the underlay according to the present invention does not set or stretch, and since it is treated with an insect repellent, it does not become a breeding ground for insects, and since its components are mostly polymeric substances, there is no corrosion. Moreover, since it retains its shape even after use, it does not become waste, and since it is not a natural product, it is stable in supply and can be produced at low cost.
