2. Description of the Related Art Radiographic imaging apparatuses are commonly used that irradiate a subject such as a human body with radiation, record a radiographic image on an X-ray film, and use this for medical diagnosis. In this case, an X-ray film is loaded into the radiographic image capturing apparatus in a light-shielded state, and the emulsion surface of the film is directly irradiated with X-rays to record an image of the subject.

Here, when recording an image on an image recording material, an image recording device, for example, an image output laser printer device is employed. This device stores a photosensitive film, which is an image recording material, through a film package, and takes out the film one by one using a sheet-fed mechanism including a suction cup.
The film is irradiated with a laser beam modulated based on an image signal obtained from a stimulable phosphor sheet, and the image accumulated and recorded on the sheet is exposed and recorded. Then, this film is transported into an automatic developing device and, after undergoing a developing process, is stored at a predetermined location or is directly provided for medical diagnosis or the like.

Incidentally, in the image recording device, as in the conventional radiation image capturing device described above, when loading the film into the device, the film must not be irradiated with external light.
This is because the film will be exposed. Therefore, when loading film into an image recording apparatus or the like, it is generally inconvenient that the film must be loaded in a dark room.

That is, FIG. 1a shows a cross-sectional view of a film package 2 to be supplied to an image recording apparatus, and this film package 2 includes a housing-like light-shielding container 6 having an opening 4. A plurality of unexposed films 10 are stored in the light-shielding container 6 while being protected by a cover 8. Further, a flexible light-shielding member 12 is attached to the light-shielding container 6 so as to close the opening 4 in a light-tight manner, thereby protecting the unexposed film 1O from external light. In this case, the flexible light shielding member 1

This dedicated magazine must be manufactured strongly so that it can withstand repeated attachment and detachment, and therefore the dedicated magazine itself has a considerable weight. Therefore, a drawback arises in that it is troublesome for the operator to attach and detach the dedicated magazine. Moreover, since the dedicated magazine is equipped with a shutter mechanism, etc., it becomes quite expensive.Especially when using various films of different sizes, it is necessary to prepare a dedicated magazine corresponding to each size of film. However, it has been pointed out that the manufacturing cost increases significantly, which is economically unacceptable in practice.

Furthermore, in the prior art described above, a flexible light-shielding member for closing the opening of the film package is exposed to the outside. Therefore, when the film packages are transported or stacked in a predetermined storage position, other film packages often come into contact with the light shielding member. Since the light-shielding member is made of a relatively soft and flexible material, there is a risk that the light-shielding member will be damaged by the hard light-shielding container and the unexposed film will be exposed to external light. arise. In particular, it has been pointed out that a light-shielding container in the form of a housing has a disadvantage in that the light-shielding member and the film are easily damaged at the corners.

However, even if the light-shielding containers themselves are relatively inexpensive, as the frequency of use of the film increases, the number of used light-shielding containers increases, and if they are not used for other purposes, it becomes extremely uneconomical. The inconvenience of becoming a thing is exposed.
