The present invention relates to a method for processing rock wool boards, in which an undercoat consisting of a mixture of carboxymethyl cellulose, polyvinyl alcohol, titanium oxide as an extender pigment, and water is applied to the surface of the rock wool board, and then a top coat is applied on top of this. This relates to a method for processing a rock wool board, which is characterized by coating and then pressing to give an uneven pattern to the surface of the rock wool board. The surface of the rock wool board 2 is coated with an undercoat, a topcoat 4 is applied thereon, and then an embossing press 1 is applied.
It is finished with an uneven pattern and used as ceiling material. However, conventionally, vinyl acetate resin-based or acrylic resin-based emulsion type paints have been used as the undercoat paint 3.
When this paint is used as primer paint 3,
When applying an uneven pattern to the rock wool board 2 using the press 1 as shown in Fig. 1, if the uneven pattern is applied to a depth of 1.5 mm or more, cracks may appear in the layer of the undercoat 3 as shown in Fig. 2. 5, and could not be commercialized. Therefore, we considered press-forming without an undercoat, but without the undercoat, the topcoat applied before pressing would not flow well, resulting in a large amount of topcoat being applied with a reverse coater etc. This in turn led to the necessity of slowing down the press speed, resulting in a decrease in productivity. The present invention has been made in view of the above points, and an object of the present invention is to provide a method for processing a rock wool board that does not cause the risk of cracking even when roughened to a depth of about 2 mm. It is something to do. The present invention will be explained in detail below with reference to Examples. The undercoat paint according to the present invention is composed of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC), polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), titanium oxide as an extender pigment, and water, and contains 2 to 5 parts by weight of a resin mixed with CMC and PVA, and oxidized Mix 10 to 40 parts by weight of titanium with water to
It is prepared by calculating parts by weight. If vinyl acetate resin or acrylic resin is used as the resin component of the paint, cracks will occur as mentioned above, and of the resin component consisting of CMC and PVA, it is recommended to use 30 to 70% by weight of PVA. . If calcium carbonate, clay, or silica is used instead of titanium oxide as an extender, the occurrence of cracks cannot be prevented, so it is better to use only titanium oxide. An example of the formulation of this undercoat is shown in the table below.

[Table] Apply an undercoat like the one above to the surface of the rock wool board, let it dry, then apply a top coat on top with a reverse coater, and press-form it with an embossing press to create unevenness on the surface of the rock wool board. Although it is used to impart patterns, the undercoat paint has high viscoelasticity due to the combination of CMC and PVA and the use of titanium oxide as an extender pigment, and it does not crack even when processed into deep irregularities of about 2 mm. It does not occur. In addition, since there is no risk of cracking, it is possible to apply the top coat after applying the base coat, and the flow of the top coat is good, and if no base coat is applied, a coating amount of 42 g / 1 x 2 m is required. However, in this case, a coating amount of 30 g/1 x 2 m is sufficient, and since the coating amount is small, the coating speed is increased, and as a result, the processing speed by press can be increased by about 20%.
