〔産業上の利用分野〕
本発明は液晶表示装置に係り特に高表示品質を得るため

従来のバイアス回路は固定バイアスで一定電圧を印加し
ていた(特公昭57−57718号公報)。このため液
晶表示素子内の電流が変化してもこの変化を補正するこ

電圧平均化方式の駆動方法は第2図に示すように表示内
容によりコモンラインCL及びセグメントラインSLに

ス電圧を印加しても表示するセグメントに正しいバイア
スが印加されているとはかぎらない0本発明においては
この変化する電流をコモンバイアス電圧で補正する。補
正量は表示されている内容により異なるので表示メモリ
の内容を平均化しこれをDA変換してコモンバイアス電

容に合せバイアス電圧を調整する機能手段を設けたこと
を特徴とする液晶表示装置。1.
