Abstract

PURPOSE:To permit transmission of a lot of signals by a compact cable reel, by providing light ray rotation couplings at opposite ends of a central shaft of a cable reel for winding a complex cable so that an optical fiber can rotate and providing slip rings at the periphery of the central shaft so that power can be supplied from a power supply cable. CONSTITUTION:A complex cable 1 combining an optical fiber and a power supply cable is wound around a drum 6. The cable has one end coupled with a power supply cable through the hole of a central shaft of the drum and a plurality of slip rings 2. On the other hand, an optical fiber is disposed at the outside of the drum through light ray couplings 4 at opposite ends of the drum shaft. A power cable is disposed at the outside of the drum from the slip rings through a carbon brush 3. With such an arrangement, a size of a cable reel can be made compact and a lot of signals can be transmitted.

Conventional technology Conventional cable reels operate through slip rings, so there is a limit to the maximum slip ring, and cable reel systems can only be applied to mobile machinery for applications involving power lines plus a small number of signals. It wasn't. For signal transmission beyond this, a curtain cable method will be adopted. There is a method in which a curtain rail is installed on the ceiling of the moving machine and a cable is attached to the hanger to supply power (see Figure 2), but in this case, the curtain rail There were problems in that installation and cable laying work required time and effort, and space also had to be secured.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention provides a cable reel for winding a composite cable including power supply cables such as power and signal cables and optical fibers, in which the optical fibers are rotated at both ends of the central axis of the cable reel for winding the cable. An optical rotation coupling is provided to enable power to be supplied from the cable, a slip ring is provided on the outer periphery of the central axis of the cable reel to enable power to be supplied from the cable, and a current collector is provided on the fixed side at a position corresponding to the slip ring. This cable reel is characterized by:

EXAMPLE The cable reel of the present invention will be explained in detail with reference to FIG. A composite cable 1 consisting of an optical fiber and a power supply cable for electric power, signals, etc. is wound around a cable drum 6, and the power supply cable is connected to a plurality of slip rings 2 provided on the drum shaft through the center shaft hole of the drum. Connect. On the other hand, the optical fibers are installed at both ends of the drum shaft to the outside of the drum via optical rotary couplings 4, respectively.

A power line is also laid out from the slip ring via a carbon brush 3t. In order to prevent the cables wound around the cable drum from becoming loose, tension damping ff5 consisting of a sprocket, chain, and torque modele is installed from the drum shaft to the cable drum.
The optical fiber is not always under tension, and both ends of the fixed and moving ends of the optical fiber read light directly to a device that transforms into an input signal.

By making the cable reel with the above structure, a large amount of information can be transmitted through optical fiber (C), and the dimensional structure of the cable reel itself has changed from the conventional slip ring type cable reel to the addition of optical rotation couplings at both ends of the shaft. This makes it possible to supply power and transmit a large amount of signals to the mobile machine.

Although the figure shows three sets of power slip rings, this is not limited to this. Although optical rotation couplings are also provided on both shafts, the purpose can be achieved with just one pair of couplings.

Furthermore, although the tensioning device uses a modele system, it is also possible to use a device that can exert tension by using power such as a spring instead of a modele.

Effects of the Invention The present invention can reduce the size of a cable reel for winding a cable that is a combination of optical fiber, electric power, signal, etc., and can transmit a large number of signals with a simple configuration. It has the effect of being able to send information at once.
