Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the extending and retracting level and elevating stroke of a fork equal to those as used for handling flat pallets, by providing a running fork for holding the bottom surface of a pallet between both leg parts thereof, to an introduction and delivery travel crane running along racks. CONSTITUTION:When pallets 6-8 provided with legs and stored in a rack 4 are delivered, a crane 1 is moved to a position adjacent to one of storage sections 10-12 in which a pallet to be delivered is stored, and an elevating carriage 2 is then elevated to locate a running fork 3 which therefore opposes a position between a pair of leg sections 9a, 9b of the pallet to be delivered and slightly below the bottom surface thereof. The running fork 3 is elevated by a predetermined amount by means of the carriage 2 after the fork 3 is advanced toward a position below the bottom surface of the pallet 2, resulting in the lift-up of the pallet to be delivered, slightly above support frames 13a, 13b. Then the running fork 3 is retracted to a position above the carriage 2 to shift the pallet to be delivered from the storage rack 4 onto the carriage 2.

(Prior art and its problems) A conventional pallet with legs has legs at the four corners of the bottom of the pallet. The pallet was stored so that the legs rested on a pair of supporting members. Therefore, compared to the case where a flat pallet without legs is stored, the bottom surface of a pallet with legs is at a higher level. If the retraction level is not changed between when handling flat pallets and when handling pallets with legs, the lifting stroke of the running fork must be made larger than when handling only flat pallets. This increases the cycle time required for loading and unloading and reduces work efficiency. However, in order to shorten the lifting and lowering stroke of the running fork to the minimum, the control becomes complicated if the egress/retraction level is changed between when handling a flat pallet and when handling a pallet with legs.

Of course, the legs of the pallet with legs are located at the four corners of the bottom of the pallet, so if the support material is configured to directly support the bottom of the pallet between the front and rear legs, the level of the bottom of the pallet when the pallet with legs is stored is It is possible to make the bottom level of the pallet the same as that of the flat pallet when it is stored.
・When hoisting a pallet with legs, the legs must be pulled out above the level of the support material. The downward stroke becomes large and the same problem as above occurs.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention has been made to solve the problems of the conventional art as described above. Each storage section of the storage shelf for the pallet is provided with a pair of left and right valet supports that support the bottom surface between the legs and both side edges of the pallet, The crane for loading and unloading the warehouse, which travels along the pallet, is provided with a running fork that supports the bottom surface between the legs of the pallet.

(Operations and Effects of the Invention) According to the configuration of the present invention as described above, the bottom level of the legged pallet stored in the storage shelf is the same as the bottom level of the flat pallet when the flat pallet is stored. Moreover, the running fork supports the bottom of the pallet with legs in the same way as when handling a flat pallet, and since there is no supporting material on the storage shelf side between the front and back of the legs of the pallet with legs, the pallet with legs Even though the pallet is used, the egress/removal level and lifting stroke of the running fork when the valet enters and exits the warehouse can be made exactly the same as when handling a flat pallet. Therefore, even if flat pallets without legs are mixedly loaded on the storage shelf, there is no need to change the control of the running forks during loading and unloading operations between when handling pallets with legs and when handling flat pallets, making the control simple and easy. In addition, the cycle time for loading and unloading work can be shortened to the same level as when only flat pallets are handled.

Also, when installing legs at the four corners of a pallet (left and right sides when viewed from the front), the spacing between the left and right legs will differ depending on the width of the pallet, so when handling a pallet with wide legs, use a running fork. The space between the pallet and the legs in the left and right direction increases, and there is a risk that the pallet will skid on the running fork. However, in the present invention, the space between the left and right legs corresponds to the width of the running fork, regardless of the width of the pallet. Since the spacing can be kept constant, the above-mentioned danger can be avoided even when handling wide pallets.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, the distance between the left and right legs can be set to a constant distance corresponding to 111 of the running fork regardless of the width of the pallet, so it is possible to set the distance between the left and right legs at a constant interval corresponding to 111 of the running fork, regardless of the width of the pallet. If the installed load handling platform is configured to support the pallet via legs with constant intervals, even when handling various 111 legged pallets, the load handling platform only needs to be provided with a pair of leg support parts. The structure becomes a cage.

When taking out the legged pallets 6 to 8 stored in the storage shelf 4, the crane 1 is moved to a position adjacent to the storage part in which the pallet to be taken out is stored among the storage parts 10 to 12, and The elevating carriage 2 is raised and lowered, and the running fork 3 is opposed to a position slightly lower than the bottom surface of the pallet between a pair of legs 9a and 9b of the pallet to be delivered. After advancing the running fork 3 to the lower side of the bottom surface of the pallet to be delivered in this state, the running fork 3 is raised to a certain upper limit by the elevating carriage 2, and the pallet to be delivered 1- is moved to the support member 13a.
