Abstract

PURPOSE:To decrease the induction noise from the outside and to improve S/N by providing a reproduction circuit and patterns not connected to head windings onto a flexible substrate for a magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head for a flexible disk device consists of a head body 11 provided on a gimbal 10, a read-write winding 8 and erase winding 9 wound thereon and the flexible substrate 1 for connecting the windings to the reproduction circuit. A grounding pattern 3, signal pattern 4, erase pattern 7, head select pattern 6 and waste pattern 5 are provided for the purpose of electrical connection on the substrate 1. The signal pattern 4 is protected against noise by the ground pattern 3 and the waste pattern 5 according to such constitution. The S/N is thus improved.

ンが無い場合には、電界の一部が信号用パターン4に侵
入するが、第3図(F)の様に、捨てパターン5が有る
場合には、捨てパターy5Fiどこにも接続されていな
いため、電荷の移動がおこらず電界はこのパターンに入
ることができないので、捨てパターン5の近傍には電磁
界の侵入しにくい領域14ができるため、捨てパターン
5に隣接した信号パターン4に雑音が誘導しにくく々る
、これにより、情報を再生する際の誤シが起らなくなる
。この効果は、第5図(R)の様にパターンを構成しな
くても、第1図の様な捨てパターン5の数が少ない構成
でも充分な場合もおる。

磁界の侵入しない領域ができ、この領域内に信号パター
ンを設けれは、フレキシブル基板よシ侵入する雑音を減
らすことができ、磁気記録装置に誤りが起ることがなく
なる。
