招き、したがつて、機関の出力が減少し、燃料消
費の増加が避けられ得なかつた。

ルエキゾーストパイプ1から流れてくる排気ガス
を混合させることなく、後述するモノリス触媒へ
導くようになつている。4はモノリス触媒で、入
つてきた排気ガスがセルの中を直進して出口に導
かれ、その間に該排気ガスの浄化を行なうように
なつている。5は入口フランジで、前記デユアル
エキゾーストパイプ1とモノリス触媒ケース2を
結合している。6は出口隔壁で、前記入口隔壁3
に対応し、デユアルエキゾーストパイプ1で運ば
れてきた排気ガスがモノリス触媒4の中を直進
し、再びこの隔壁6により、混合することなく、
後述するデユアルエキゾーストパイプ8へ導くよ
うになつている。7は出口フランジで、前記モノ
リス触媒ケース2とデユアルエキゾーストパイプ
8を結合している。

イプ1から流れてくる排気ガスが混合することな
く、そのままデユアルを維持してモノリス触媒4
に導かれ、この触媒4の中を直進し、この間で浄
化され、つぎに、出口隔壁6の存在によつて、そ
の浄化された排気ガスが混合することなく、再び
デユアルを維持してデユアルエキゾーストパイプ
8に至る。したがつて、モノリス触媒4を含ん
で、完全なデユアルエキゾーストシステムが構成
され、出力の向上と燃費の向上とを図ることがで
きる。

気抵抗の減少がなされ、機関の出力の向上と燃費
の向上とが保証され、かつ、構造も簡単であり、
さらに触媒を含むケースをだ円形に形成し、該だ
円形の長径方向を二分割するようにしたので、デ
ユアルエギゾーストパイプの接続が容易になると
共に触媒中の排気流れが円滑になるなど、本考案
の奏する効果は、きわめて大である。
