Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve operation efficiency by forming a diamond tip to be gradually narrower from its cutting-edge top toward its cutting-edge root. CONSTITUTION:A diamond tip 4 consists of a tip 5 for cutting a workpiece and an installing member 6 which is an intermediary for installing the tip 5 to a saw blade 3, and the tip 5 is formed to be gradually narrower from a cutting-edge top toward a cutting-edge root. Accordingly, even if the thickness of the tip 5 may vary, the area of the sides which is brought into contact with the inside of the sawing passage is arranged to be small, reducing unnecessary friction resistance and improving cutting efficiency. Furthermore, since the tip can be formed thicker, its life can be increased, improving operation efficiency.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Industrial Application Field) The present invention relates to a diamond tip for a diamond tip saw, and is particularly characterized in that the diamond tip is formed gradually narrower from the cutting edge to the cutting edge.

(Prior Art) A diamond-tipped saw has a diamond tip whose upper surface functions as a cutting edge, and cuts hard materials such as stone or steel by rubbing the surface with this surface.

As a result, the top surface of the diamond tip wears out, gradually becoming thinner and eventually becoming unusable. Of course, in this case, the diamond-tipped saw should be replaced with a new one, or if the diamond tip is removable, it should be replaced with a new one, but the more frequently this occurs, the more the diamond tip is removed. This increases the consumption cost of the chip saw and reduces work efficiency.

Therefore, it has been desired to make the diamond tip as thick as possible so as to reduce the frequency of its replacement.

By the way, as mentioned above, a diamond tip saw rubs the material to be cut with the upper surface of the diamond tip, but at the same time, the side surface rubs against the inner surface of the cutting path, which acts as cutting resistance. However, the conventional diamond tip is formed in a circular shape as shown in Fig. 4, and when trying to thicken the cutting edge 1, the side surface 2
As the area of the diamond tip increases, the frictional resistance inevitably increases, so the cutting edge 1 of the diamond tip must be made thin (Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 19487-1987).

In order to eliminate these drawbacks, the present inventor invented a diamond tip in which a pair of mounting pieces are protruded from a rectangular parallelepiped shaped tip.

This saw has a mounting piece whose width is slightly narrower than the width of the tip, so that only the side of the tip rubs against the inner surface of the saw, compared to the conventional diamond tip saw mentioned above. Since the frictional resistance becomes much smaller,
There is an advantage to being able to make the chip thicker, but
Even so, the area of the side surfaces of the chip increases in proportion to the thickness, so it has not been possible to increase the thickness above a certain level. Therefore, there was a desire to develop a tip with a thick cutting edge and low frictional resistance.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned points, and the present invention is made by forming a diamond tip gradually narrower from the cutting edge toward the cutting base, thereby controlling the thickness of the tip. Regardless of the surface area, the area in contact with the inner surface of the grinding path is made to be approximately constant.

In the figure, numeral 3 is a saw blade, and 4 is a diamond tip. The saw blade 3 is formed using a steel disk or an endless steel band, like that of a normal diamond-tipped saw of this type. The figure shows an example in which the mounting edge of the saw blade 3 and the periphery of a pin hole 9, which will be described later, are roundly chamfered. This reduces the possibility of cracks occurring in the saw blade 3.

The diamond tip 4 is a tip 5 that cuts the material to be cut.
and a mounting piece 6 that serves as an intermediary for attaching the tip 5 to the saw blade 3, and the tip 5 is formed to become gradually narrower from the cutting edge to the blade base. chip 5
The relationship between the mounting piece 6 and the mounting piece 6 is the same as the conventional one. That is, either they are formed separately and welded together as shown in Fig. 1, or they are formed integrally using the same material as shown in Figs. 2 and 3. . However, in this case, there is no need for the diamond tip 4 to have a step between the tip 5 and the mounting piece 6.
This allows the width to be continuously narrowed from the cutting edge of the tip 5 to the attachment piece 6.

As in the past, this can be done by gluing, screwing, or other appropriate methods. In the figure, as an example, the ridgeline of the saw blade 3 is chamfered, mounting holes 8 are drilled at appropriate intervals, and the periphery is also chamfered to prevent cracks in the saw blade 3. The pin hole 9 is also provided in the mounting piece 6 of the diamond tip 4.
After aligning this pin hole 9 with the above-mentioned mounting hole 8, insert the pin 11 into it, and then attach the saw blade 3.
and a mounting piece 6 are attached with solder 11.

By the way, in this case, it is desirable to drill only one pin hole 9 in the center of the mounting piece 6 as shown in the figure, and to make the lower end of the mounting piece 6 as narrow as possible. Attach saw blade 3 to tip 4
There is almost no possibility of cracks occurring in the saw blade 3, and the diamond tip can be firmly attached to the saw blade 3 by soldering.

(Function) Since the diamond tip 4 is formed to be gradually narrower from the cutting edge to the cutting edge, by cutting the material to be cut using this diamond tip saw, the upper surface 7 of the tip 5 can be narrowed.
Suppose that the side is worn down to aJli, then at the same time the side becomes A.
After grinding to the line, the Xi'/machining becomes the side surface of the tip 5 and comes into contact with the inner surface of the grinding path. When the cutting operation further progresses and the top surface of the tip 5 is worn down to the position shown by line b, the side surface is worn down to line b, so that X2-y2 comes into contact with one of the inner surfaces of the cutting path. Thereafter, when the top surface of the chip 5 is similarly worn, the side surfaces of the chip 5 are also worn accordingly.

(Effects of the Invention) As detailed above, the present invention forms the diamond tip gradually narrower from the cutting edge to the cutting base, so that even if the thickness of the diamond tip changes, the side surface of the diamond tip becomes the inner surface of the cutting path. The contact area is small. As a result, unnecessary frictional resistance is reduced and cutting ability is improved, especially since it is now possible to form a thick diamond tip.
