てなる発光部を保護シートで密封被覆し、外部入
力用のリード端子を介して前記下部電極および透
明電極間に電圧を印加することにより前記発光層
を発光させるようにしたエレクトロルミネツセン
ス素子において、前記下部電極に切欠きを設ける
とともに、この切欠き内に臨む前記透明電極とそ
のリード端子間、および前記切欠き近傍の下部電
極とそのリード端子間にそれぞれ導電性ヒートシ
ール材を設け、これら導電性ヒートシール材を介
して、前記下部電極および透明電極のそれぞれの
リード部位が各リード端子に導通・接着されてい
ることを特徴とするエレクトロルミネツセンス素
