Abstract

PURPOSE:To extremely relieve a visual feeling of physical disorder of a repaired part, by adding a specific component to a frosting coating compound having the same color as part to be repaired, spraying the part to be repaired with the coating compound and spraying a gradating solution upon its dust part. CONSTITUTION:(A) A frosting coating compound having the same color as a part to be repaired is blended with (B) (i) 15-25wt% clear and (ii) 5-10wt% flat base to give a repairing coating compound whose color is readjusted, which is sprayed upon the part to be repaired. Then, (C) 10-30wt% frosting clear obtained by adding 15-30wt% flat base to clear is added to (iv) thinner to give a gradating solution, which is sprayed upon a dust part formed in the circumference of the repaired part by spray coating, to carry out baking and repairing of frosting coating.

That is, matte paints generally consist of a clear resin made of transparent or translucent resin, a pigment that produces the desired color, and
A pigment consisting of large particles of 10 to 40μ (e.g. carden white) is added as a matting agent (flat base), and additives such as stabilizers are added as necessary, and the mixture is uniformly dispersed and mixed using a solvent. However, in order to repair a part of the painted surface painted with such a matte paint,
If substantially the same paint is applied to the repaired area, it is inevitable that the repair paint will also be applied to the healthy painted surface 12 around the repaired area, indicated by reference numeral 10 in the accompanying drawing (--a truck door is shown as an example). Since a double matte coating is formed in this area, an annular dust part 14 that looks just like chalk powder has been deposited is generated, which significantly spoils the appearance.

For this reason, if a car or other vehicle, where appearance is important, has a matte finish, when the painted surface needs to be repaired, partial repairs are not carried out, and, for example, the entire door, fender panel, etc. must be replaced. As a result, repair costs became extremely high, and on the contrary, the difficulty of performing partial repairs was the main reason for preventing the spread of matte coatings on automobiles and the like.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) As described above, when performing partial baking repair on a matte painted surface, it is possible to eliminate the dust generated around the repaired area, or at least not damage the appearance. The problem to be solved by the present invention is to reduce the noise to a certain degree.

(Means for Solving the Problems) The present invention was devised in view of the above, and consists of a matte paint toned to the same color as the repaired area, 15 to 25% clear and 5 to 10% flat base. The first step is to spray paint the repair paint that has been recolored by adding 15% to 30% flat base to the clear, and then add 10% to 30% thinner to the matte clear made by adding 15% to 30% flat base to the clear.
A method for baking and repairing matte paint, the method comprising: a second step of spraying a grading liquid created by adding the grading liquid onto the dust area generated around the repaired area by the painting in the first step; It is a special repair paint that is directly used for carrying out the above repair method, and is reused by adding 15 to 25 inches of clear and 5 to 10 inches of flat base to a matte paint that has been toned to the same color as the repaired area. A paint characterized by having a toned color, and a paint that is applied to the dust area around the repaired area after painting the above-mentioned repair paint to improve the appearance of the dust area, and has a flat base of 15 to 30% in the clear. 10% matte clear made by adding baking thinner
This paper proposes a special grading liquid characterized by containing 30% to 30% of the grading liquid.

(Example) Examples of the present invention will be described in detail below. First, a repair paint, which will be described in detail later, is applied to the repair area 10 illustrated in the attached drawings by spray coating, then a gradation liquid, which will be described later, is spray applied to the surrounding dust area 14, and finally, baking is performed by a conventional method.

The repair paint is based on a matte paint that has been toned to be substantially the same color as the non-repair area 12 that has already been coated with a matte coating, and this is coated with 15 to 25 inches of clear and 5 to 10 degrees of paint.
It is manufactured by adding a flat base (matting agent), mixing uniformly, and re-toning the color. At this time, the amount of clear is
It is increased or decreased in the range of 15% to 25% depending on the gloss value (indicating the degree of gloss) of the non-repaired area 12, and generally it is decreased when the gloss value is small (that is, there is little gloss), and when the gloss value is large (that is, there is little gloss). If the amount is too high, the amount should be increased, but for the matte coating of ordinary automobiles, about 20% is appropriate.

In addition, the flat base preferably has a thickness of several microns to 20 microns.
A car of the degree? Whitening is used, and the amount added is increased or decreased in the range of 5 to 10% depending on the gloss value of the unrepaired area 12. If the gross value is extremely small, the amount should be close to 10%, and as the gross value increases, increase the amount by 5%.

Next, the above-mentioned grading liquid is made by first adding 15% to 30% flat coating to the clear to make a matte clear, and then adding 10 to 30% of this matte clear to baking thinner. Prepare. The amount of flat base added in the above-mentioned matte clear is increased or decreased in accordance with the gloss value of the non-repaired area 12 in substantially the same manner as that of the above-mentioned repair paint. Addition amount of matte clear to thinner is 1
If it is less than 0%, the amount of thinner is relatively too large and the blurring liquid will flow off the painted surface, making it impractical.
If it is 0% or more, the amount of flat base is too large, and there is a problem that the effect of covering and blurring the matting agent that appears in the dust part is weakened. In addition, the above-mentioned thinner is practically preferable to add a small amount (for example, around 10 parts) of retarder (high-boiling point thinner) to a normal baking thinner to slightly slow down evaporation.

By spraying the above-mentioned repair paint on the repair part 10, then spraying the above-mentioned grading liquid on the dust part 14, and then baking in a conventional manner,
Eliminating the unsightly chalk powder-like appearance of the dust part 14,

(Effects of the Invention) The present invention is extremely useful because it allows repair of matte painted surfaces, which has been difficult in the past, to be carried out easily, at low cost, and with good quality. Furthermore, the realization of the repair method, repair paint, and dedicated grading liquid according to the present invention is expected to have the effect of promoting matte coating on articles where appearance is important, such as automobiles, which have been slow to become widespread.
