Description
本発明は減感剤組成物に関する。更に詳細には
無色の発色剤を呈色させる顕色剤の機能を減少さ
せるか又は消滅させる減感剤組成物に関する。
電子供与性の又はプロトン受容性の無色の有機
化合物(以下発色剤と称する)と電子受容性又は
プロトン放出性の固体酸(以下顕色剤と称する)
との接触反応により発色像を得ることは古くから
知られている。この現象を具体的に利用したもの
として、感圧複写紙(例えば米国特許2505470
号、同2505489号、同2550471号、同2548366号、
同2712507号、同2730456号、同2730457号、同
3418250号、同3672935号)、感熱記録紙(例えば
特公昭43−4160号、同43−7600号、同45−14039
号、米国特許2939009号)等がある。
更に顕色剤を塗布したシートに発色剤を含むイ
ンキを供給して着色像を得る印刷方法も知られて
いる(ドイツ特許出願(OLS)1939962号)。
顕色剤とは前に定義された性質を有するもの
で、クレー類、フエノール樹脂、芳香族カルボン
酸の金属塩等を包含する。
一般にこれら顕色剤は、支持体の全面に均一に
塗設されるため、顕色剤シートの記録不要部分に
は減感剤を含む組成物を印刷機等を使用して塗布
し、減感する方法が広く採用されている。減感剤
としては有機アミン又はその第4級塩(米国特許
2777780号)、モノアルキルアミン、アラルキルア
ミン、又はエタノールアミンとエチレンオキシド
が化学的に結合した第3級アミン(特公昭46−
35697号)、スピロアセタール系ジアミン及びスピ
ロアセタール系ジアミンとオキシラン基を有する
化合物との反応物(ドイツ特許公開公報
(OLS)2343800号)、ポリエチレングリコール、
ポリプロピレングリコール等の多価アルコールな
どが知られている。これらについては、後述す
る。
これらの減感剤はいずれも減感効果が不充分で
特に米国特許第282834号、同3193404号、同
3278327号、特公昭36−14873号、特開昭48−
95420号、同52−148526号等に記載されているジ
フエニルメタン系発色剤に対しては有効でなかつ
た。即ち、減感剤を塗布した前記顕色剤シートに
ジフエニルメタン系発色剤を接触させた場合、初
期には減感されている如くみえるが経時的に発色
像が出現する。減感剤の塗布量を増加することで
若干の改良が可能であるがこの場合、減感剤塗布
面上に着色インキで筆記又は印刷すると、着色イ
ンキの印字像が著るしく変退色を受けたり、にじ
んだりする。
更に、感圧複写紙に於て、発色剤を含むマイク
ロカプセル層と減感剤塗布量の多い顕色剤シート
を共に重ね放置すると、減感剤がマイクロカプセ
ルの壁を膨潤させ、場合によつては壁膜を破壊す
る等の欠点があつた。
特公昭50−29365号等には減感剤と酸化チタン
を併用することが開示されているが、この場合も
減感効果が不充分であり、特にジフエニルメタン
系発色剤に対してはほとんど減感効果を示さな
い。
本発明の目的は、ジフエニルメタン系発色剤に
対しても充分な効果を発揮する減感剤組成物を提
供することである。
本発明者は種々の研究を行なつた結果、(A)アル
カリ土金属の酸化物、炭酸塩又は水酸化物の少な
くとも一種と(B)酸化チタンを減感剤と併用するこ
とにより前記目的を達成できることを見出した。
ここに云うアルカリ土金属とは周期律第族金属
でベリリウム、マグネシウム、カルシウム、スト
ロンチウム、バリウム、ラジウムを指す。アルカ
リ土金属の中でも特にマグネシウム、カルシウ
ム、バリウムが望ましく又これらの酸化物、水酸
化物、が特に望ましい。
アルカリ土金属の酸化物、炭酸塩、水酸化物の
具体例としては、
酸化マグネシウム、炭酸マグネシウム、塩基性
炭酸マグネシウム、水酸化マグネシウム、炭酸カ
ルシウム、酸化カルシウム、水酸化カルシウム、
炭酸バリウム、酸化バリウム、水酸化バリウム、
酸化ベリリウム、水酸化ベリリウム等があげられ
る。なお、本発明のアルカリ土金属の酸化物、炭
酸塩又は水酸化物は減感剤組成物中に0.5〜35%
(重量%、以下同じ)好ましくは2〜25%混合さ
れる。又酸化チタンは減感剤組成物中3〜45%、
好ましくは5〜40%混合される。
本発明に使用する減感剤は例えば米国特許
2777780号、特公昭44−27255号、同45−21448
号、同46−22651号、同46−29546号、特開昭47−
32915号、特公昭47−38201号、同48−4050号、特
開昭48−6805号、特公昭49−4484号、同49−
19647号、同49−23008号、同49−23850号、特開
昭49−43708号、同49−72009号、同49−77709
号、同49−77710号、同49−15513号、同49−
83509号、ドイツ特許出願(OLS)2343800号、
同2359079号、同2361856号、に記載されている減
感剤をあげることができるが、例えば次の如き具
体例をあげる事ができる。ドデシルトリメチルア
ンモニウムクロライド、オクタデシルアンモニウ
ムクロライド等の第4級アンモニウム塩;ドデシ
ルアミン等の分子量の大きいアミン;2・4・4
−トリメチル−2−オキサゾリン等の置換オキサ
ゾリン;キシレンジアミン、N−アミノプロピル
ピペリジン等の分子中に環状構造を有するジアミ
ンもしくはポリアミン誘導体とアルキレンオキシ
ドとの反応物;ポリオキシエチレンアルキルアミ
ン、ポリオキシエチレンアルキルエーテル、ポリ
オキシエチレンアルキルフエニールエーテル、ポ
リエチレングリコール、ポリプロピレングリコー
ル、ポリオキシプロピレンアルキルアミン、グル
タミン酸−γ−アルキルエステル残基を有する重
合体、スピロアセタール系ジアミン、N−(アミ
ノアルキル)−ラクタム類、アミン類のグリシジ
ルエーテル付加体等がある。本発明の化合物はプ
ロピレンオキシド、スチレンオキシド等エチレン
オキシド以外のアルキレンオキシド付加体を減感
剤とする系において特に有用である。
これらの減感剤とアルカリ土金属の酸化物、炭
酸塩又は水酸化物と酸化チタンを同時に使用する
ことにより、ジフエニルメタン系発色剤に対する
減感効果の改善が認められる。
本発明の減感剤組成物は減感剤、前記アルカリ
土金属化合物及び酸化チタンのみで構成されてい
ても良いしさらに他の成分を含んでいても良い。
他の成分の含有率は0〜80%が望ましい。
本発明の減感剤組成物に含まれる他の成分とは
例えば、E.A.Apps著「Printing Ink
Technology」LEONARD HILL(LONDON)
1961年発行の2〜9章に詳述されている一般印刷
インキ用材料等をあげることができる。例えば、
ケトン樹脂、ポリアミド樹脂、マレイン酸樹脂、
フエノール樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、アルキツド樹
脂、メラミン樹脂、尿素樹脂、ニトロセルロー
ズ、エチルセルローズ、ブチラール樹脂、ポリビ
ニルアルコール、ゼラチン、シエラツク、の如き
天然又は合成の高分子化合物(これらは減感剤組
成中0〜40%好ましくは5〜25%含まれる)、硫
酸バリウム、タルク、カオリン、ベントナイト、
有機ベントナイト等の無機物(これらは減感剤組
成中0〜50%、好ましくは0.3〜40%含まれる)、
アマニ油、桐油、大豆油、綿実油等の植物油(こ
れらは減感剤組成物中0〜50%好ましくは0〜20
%含まれる)、メタノール、エタノール、酢酸エ
チル、トルエン、ヘキサン、メチルエチルケト
ン、メチルイソブチルケトン、等の有機溶剤(こ
れらは0〜60%、好ましくは0〜20%含まれ
る)、パラフインワツクス、ミクロクリスタリン
ワツクス、カルナウバワツクス等のワツクス類
(これらは0〜10%、好ましくは0〜5%含まれ
る)、デンプン、デキストリンの如き裏移り防止
剤(これらは0〜10%、好ましくは0〜5%含ま
れる。)などが減感剤組成物に包含される。本発
明の減感剤組成物は前述の諸成分を混合、溶解又
は必要に応じて三本ローラーミル、サンドミル等
を使用し練肉する事にて当業者にとつては容易に
調製することができる。減感剤組成物は印刷機を
使用したり、スプレー等による噴霧、クレヨン又
は消しゴム状物質で手書きするなどの方法により
顕色剤シートに供給される。
減感剤組成物の塗布量は0.8〜10.0g/m2、好
ましくは1.5〜6.0g/m2である。
本発明の減感剤組成物が適用できる顕色剤の具
体例を示すとクレー類(例えば、酸性白土、活性
白土、アタパルジヤイト、カオリン等)、フエノ
ール樹脂、芳香族カルボン酸の多価金属塩等をあ
げることができる。
フエノール樹脂とは、具体的には、フエノール
−アルデヒド重合体(いわゆるノボラツク型)及
びフエノールアセチレン重合体である。
これらの例示化合物を挙げれば、p−フエニル
フエノールホルムアルデヒド重合体、p−フルオ
ロフエノール−ホルムアルデヒド重合体、p−ク
ロロフエノール−ホルムアルデヒド重合体、p−
ブロモフエノール−ホルムアルデヒド重合体、p
−ヨードフエノール−ホルムアルデヒド重合体、
p−ニトロフエノール−ホルムアルデヒド重合
体、p−カルボキシフエノール−ホルムアルデヒ
ド重合体、o−カルボキフエノール−ホルムアル
デヒド重合体、p−カルボアルコキシフエノール
類−ホルムアルデヒド重合体、p−アロイルフエ
ノール−ホルムアルデヒド重合体、p−低級アル
コキシフエノール−ホルムアルデヒド重合体、p
−アルキル(C1〜C12)フエノール(例えば、p
−メチルフエノール、p−エチルフエノール、p
−n−プロピルフエノール、p−イソプロピルフ
エノール、p−n−アミルフエノール、p−イソ
アミンフエノール、p−シクロヘキシルフエノー
ル、p−1・1−ジメチル−n−プロピルフエノ
ール、p−n−ヘキシルフエノール、p−イソヘ
キシルフエノール、p−1・1−ジメチル−n−

ブチルフエノール、p−n−ヘプチルフエノー
ル、p−イソヘプチルフエノール、p−5・5−

ール、p−n−ノニルフエノール、p−イソノニ
ルフエノール、p−1・1・3・3−テトラメチ
ルアミルフエノール、p−n−デシルフエノー
ル、p−イソデシルフエノール、p−n−ウンデ
シルフエノール、p−イソウンデシルフエノー
ル、p−n−ドデシルフエノール)とホルムアル
デヒドとの重合体、前記p−アルキルフエノール
(アルキル基の炭素数は1〜12)の異性体、並び
に前記アルキルフエノールおよびその異性体の2
種またはそれ以上を含む混合物とホルムアルデヒ
ドとの共重合体等が挙げられる。また、前記p−
置換フエノールにm−置換基が加わつても同様に
挙動し、m−置換基が加わることは重要でない。
芳香族カルボン酸の多価金属塩は、例えば、米
国特許3864146号、同3983292号、同3934070号、
同3983292号、特願昭53−25158号等に記載されて
いる。
上記芳香族カルボン酸の多価金属塩における芳
香族のカルボン酸はカルボキシ基に対し、オルト
またはパラ位に水酸基を有するものが有用であ
り、中でもサリチル酸誘導体が好ましく、水酸基
に対し、オルトまたはパラ位の少くとも一方に、
アルキル基、アリール基、アラルキル基の置換基
を有し置換基の炭素原子数の総和が8以上である
ものが特に好ましい。
特に好ましい芳香族カルボン酸の例としては、
3・5−ジ−t−ブチルサリチル酸、3・5−ジ
−t−アミルサリチル酸、3・5−ビス(α・α
−ジメチルベンジル)サリチル酸、
3・5−ビス(α−メチルベンジル)サリチル
酸、
3−(α−メチルベンジル)−5−(α・α−ジ
メチルベンジル)サリチル酸、
3・5−ジ−t−オクチルサリチル酸、
3−シクロヘキシル−5−(α・α−ジメチル
ベンジル)サリチル酸
等がある。
また上記芳香族カルボン酸と金属塩を作る金属
としてはマグネシウム、アルミニウム、カルシウ
ム、スカンジウム、チタン、バナジウム、クロ
ム、マンガン、鉄、コバルト、ニツケル、銅、亜
鉛、ガリウム、ゲルマニウム、ストロンチウム、
イツトリウム、ジルコニウム、モリブデン、カド
ミウム、インジウム、錫、アンチモン、バリウ
ム、タングステン、鉛、ビスマス等が挙げられ
る。これらの金属の中特に効果のあるものは、亜
鉛、スズ、アルミニウムなどである。
これらの中で最も効果のあるものは亜鉛であ
る。
本発明の減感剤組成物は従来減感することが困
難であつたジフエニルメタン系発色剤に対して、
極めて効果的に適用できるがもちろん他の発色剤
に対しても充分な効果を発揮する。
次にこれら発色剤の具体例を示す。
ジフエニルメタン系化合物としてp−トリル−
〔4・4′−ビス−(ジメチルアミノ)−ベンズヒド
リル〕−スルホン、フエニル−〔4・4′−ビス−
(ジメチルアミノ)−ベンズヒドリル〕−スルホ
ン、4−クロル−フエニル−〔4・4′−ビス−(ジ
メチルアミノ)ベンズヒドリル〕スルホン、3−
ニトロ−4−メチル−フエニル−〔4・4′−ビス
−(ジメチルアミノ)−ベンズヒドリル〕−スルホ
ン、特開昭52−148526号に記載されているミヒラ
ーヒドロールのオキシムエーテル体、等、トリア
リールメタン系化合物として3・3−ビス(pジ
メチルアミノフエニル)−6−ジメチヲアミノフ
タリド即ちクリスタルバイオレツトラクトン、
3・3−ビス(p−ジメチルアミノフエニル)フ
タリド、3−(p−ジメチルアミノフエニル)−3
−(1・2−ジメチルインドール−3−イル)フ
タリド、3−ビス−(1・2−ジメチルインドー
ル−3−イル)−5−ジメチルアミノフタリド、
3・3−ビス(1・2−ジメチルインドール−3
−イル)−6−ジメチルアミノフタリド、3・3

メチル−スピロ−ジナフトピラン、3−エチル−
スピロ−ジナフトピラン、3・3′−ジクロロ−ス
ピロ−ジナフトピラン、3−ベンジルスピロ−ジ
ナフトピラン、3−メチル−(3−メトキシ−ベ
ンゾ)−スピロピラン、3−プロピル−スピロ−
ジベンゾピラン等、或いはこれらの混合物を挙げ
ることができる。
発色剤は溶媒に溶解してカプセル化するか又は
バインダー溶液に分散して支持体に塗布される。
溶媒としては天然又は合成油を単独又は併用し
て用いることができる。溶媒の例として、綿実
油、灯油、パラフイン、ナフテン油、アルキル化
ビフエニル、アルキル化ターフエル、塩素化パラ
フイン、アルキル化ナフタレンなどを挙げること
ができる。カプセルの製造方法については、米国
特許2800457号、同2800458号に記載された親水性
コロイドゾルのコアセルベーシヨンを利用した方
法、英国特許867797号、同950443号、同989264
号、同1091076号などに記載された界面重合法な
どがある。
実施例
本発明の減感剤組成物の効果は次の顕色剤シー
ト及び発色剤シートで確認した。
顕色剤シートA
活性白土200部を水800部(重量部、以下同じ)
に分散し、ついで20%水酸化ナトリウム水溶液で
分散液のPHを10.0に調整した。これに、スチレン
含量60モル%のスチレン−ブタジエン共重合体ラ
テツクスを固形分にて40部、及び10%デンプン水
溶液60部を添加して塗布液を調製した。この塗布
液を50g/m2の原紙に、6g/m2の固形分が塗布
されるようコーテイングロツトにて塗布乾燥し
た。
顕色剤シートB
水20部に酸性白土5部、酸化アルミニウム1部
を加え、撹拌しながら20%カ性ソーダ水溶液にて
分散液のPHを10.5に調整した。10%ゼラチン水溶
液6部を添加し、さらに水8部と塩化亜鉛0.56部
を溶解した溶液を徐々に加えた。
次いで、これに、3・5−ジ−tert−ブチルサ
リチル酸2部を15%カ性ソーダ水溶液20部に80℃
で溶解したものを徐々に添加し反応させた。この
分散液にスチレン含量50モル%なるスチレン−メ
チルメタアクリレート共重合体ラテツクスを固形
分にて3部添加し塗布液とした。これを50g/m2
の原紙に4g/m2の固形分が塗布されるようコー
テイグロツドにて塗布乾燥した。
顕色剤シートC
パラフエニルフエノール170部と37%ホルムア
ルデヒド水溶液70部とを塩酸(37%)10部及び水
50部の存在下、加熱還流して10時間反応させた。
冷却後、フエノール樹脂を粉末として取り出し
た。
上記の方法で得られたフエノール樹脂40部及び
ナフタレンスルホン酸ホルマリン縮合物6部を水
54部とともに1日間ボールミルにかけた。次に、

発色剤シートAの調製
等電点8.0を有する酸処理ゼラチン10部及びア
ラビアゴム10部を40℃の水60部に溶解し乳化剤と
してアルキルベンゼンスルフオン酸ナトリウム
0.2部を添加し、これに発色剤油50部を乳化し
た。
発色剤油は、ジイソプロピルビフエニル4部と
ケロシン1部からなる油に、p−トリル〔4・
4′−ビス−(ジメチルアミノ)−ベンズヒドリル〕
−スルホン3.5重量%を溶解したものである。
乳化滴の大きさが平均8ミクロンになつたとこ
ろで40℃の水100部を加えて乳化の進行を抑え
た。
撹拌を続けながら、更に30℃の水210部を加
え、20%塩酸を添加して系のPHを4.4に調整し
た。更に撹拌を続けながら液を8℃迄冷却し、次
いで20%グルタルアルデヒド1.5部を添加した。
続いて、10%カルボキシメチル澱粉溶液30部を
注ぎ、25%カ性ソーダを滴下PHを8.5に調整後、
液温を30℃に加温して硬化壁を有するマイクロカ
プセルを得た。
この液にセルロースフロツク10部を分散し、40
g/m2の紙に固型分として6g/m2塗布して発色
剤シートAを得た。
発色剤シートBの調製
ジイソプロピルナフタリン1部、ジイソプロピ
ルビフエニル1部及び1−(ジメチルフエニル)−
1−フエニルエタン2部からなる油に、クリスタ
ルバイオレツトラクトン1重量%、3−ジエチル
アミノ−7−ジエチルアミノフルオラン4重量
%、3−ジエチルアミノ−7−フエニルアミノフ
ルオラン4重量%、3−ジエチルアミノ−7・8
−ベンゾフルオラン3重量%、3・6−ビスメト
キシ−フルオラン0.5重量%及びベンゾイルロイ
コメチレンブルー2重量%を溶解して発色剤油と
し、これを50部用いて発色剤シートAと同様に製
造し、発色剤シートBを得た。
減感剤組成物の調製
ロジン変性マレイン酸樹脂(軟化点120℃、酸
化150)15部にエチレンジアミンのプロピレンオ
