Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide the desensitizer effective even for diphenylmethane color producing reagent by a method wherein at least one compound selected from the group consisting of oxides, carbonates and hydroxides of alkaline earth metals is used jointly with titanium oxide as the desensitizer for weakening the function of a developer. CONSTITUTION:The desensitiz composition containing 0.5-35% of at least one compound selected from the group consisting of the oxides, carbonates and hydroxides of the alkaline earth metals, i.e., magnesium, calcium, barium, etc., and 3- 45% of titanium oxide is fed to a sheet of the developer. The desensitizer composition may contain, in addition to the compound (s) of alkaline earth metal (s) and titanium oxide, 0-80% of natural or organic high polymers, organic compounds such as barium sulfate and talc, vegetable oils, organic solvents, waxes and the like. The desensitiz composition is applicable to such developers as clays, phenolic resins, multivalent metallic salts of aromatic carboxylic acids, etc. and has an improved effectiveness for diphenylmethane color producing reagent.
